The heartwood needed to craft this shield comes from a Wild Sylvan named The Old One in the Wending Wood.
The shield is crafted by Master Wade during the quest Heart of the Forest if the Warden-Commander chooses a shield instead of the Heartwood Bow as a quest reward. Both items are tier 9.
