Hauntings: From Beyond is a side quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The restless spirit of a lost Watcher is terrorising the Grand Necropolis and Myrna has asked the Veilguard to help put him to rest.

Speak to Myrna in Necropolis Halls after The Siege of Weisshaupt to acquire the quest.

A hostile undead Mourn Watcher must be stopped from haunting the Necropolis.
Stop an undead Watcher[]
Go to the marked location in Necropolis Halls, in the room just behind the Eluvian and defeat the undead boss, The Lost Explorer which is vulnerable to necrotic damage and resistant to cold. His original name was Ernest Reldevar, a watcher known to explore the Fade. Return to Myrna and Vorgoth for a reward and to unlock the next quest in the series, Hauntings: Shadows of Fortune.

Completing the quest yields:
- 250 Mourn Watch strength
- 400 Gold
- (Qunari) Paint of Parasites on defeating the spirit
Results[]
A necromancer who delved too far into the mysteries of the Fade returned as a malevolent haunting. He must be confronted, lest he stalk the Necropolis halls forever.
You cast an apparition of a lost necromancer back into the Fade, where he will rest in death a while. The Mourn Watch is grateful their colleague was granted his mercy.

- When this quest is given, Vorgoth says, "HE DELVED WHERE HE SHOULD NOT" which is a shortened version of a quote from Gandalf from the Lord of the Rings: "The Dwarves tell no tale; but even as mithril was the foundation of their wealth, so also it was their destruction: they delved too greedily and too deep, and disturbed that from which they fled, Durin’s Bane."
- Lucanis mentions that Spite did not like fighting this spirit for some reason.
