Knight-Commander Greagoir carries this shield. It is another item improperly flagged as equipped (See Nugbane.), however it is set to be dropped upon his death or acquired through stealing if it were not equipped to him.
Workaround
How to make Gregoir unequip this shield so it can be stolen:
- This requires that you have downloaded the toolset.
- Open the toolset and then open the single player module (File > Manage Modules > Single Player). Click the creatures tab. Scroll down until you see, "Broken Circle". Open the folder, find cir200ar_tower_level_1.
- Open this folder, and scroll down to cir200cr_gregoir (Knight-Commander Gregoir). Right click this resource, and select "Open Local Copy". When the resource screen opens on the left, scroll down until you find inventory.
- Click to open and select Gregoir's Shield you'll notice it is set to "Off-Hand", click on this and set it to "Not Equipped". It will already be flagged for Stealable, and Droppable. Click Ok, and close the inventory screen.
- Export without dependent resources.
- Close the toolset (saving when prompted) and start up the game, load a save before Orzammar has been visited and travel there to steal your new prize.
