- It may be purchased from Bodahn in The Warden's camp.
- It may turn up as random loot in the chest in Marjolaine's home.
Awakening
At the very beginning of Awakening, before Vigil's Keep is reclaimed, there is a terrified merchant near the left tower just inside the main gate of the Keep defending himself against three darkspawn, rescue him for Yuriah to gain additional stock later on, including the Grandmaster Lighting Rune Tracing. The first time you speak to Yuriah, he will mention this merchant you saved.
Note: This merchant can still be saved as long as the final boss battle in the Keep is not triggered, he will always have full health when you first approach.
Alternately, The Trade Must Flow quest must be commenced by talking to Mistress Woolsey and wandering vendor Lillith successfully recruited in order to purchase the tracing from Vigil's Keep vendor Yuriah.
Note: It may be necessary to wait until the Trade Must Flow quest is completed. Yuriah should have a quest sign and cutscene at this point, if not, leave the keep and return.

Bug! The Trade Must Flow quest appears to have some bugs in the v1.03 release: in particular, the relevant dialogue option with Mistress Woolsey may need to be initiated twice. |
