Golden Ring is a ring in Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening.

Found in the Mad Hermit's tree stump in the East Brecilian Forest after you have traded for the Grand Oak Acorn. However, rummaging through his stump will provoke him to fight you, so be prepared. Alternately, while bartering for the acorn, you also trade to receive the Ancient Elven Helm, in which you can obtain the Golden Ring as well.

Given to a new warrior character in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening as a starting item.
