The Genlock necromancer is a variation of the Genlock emissary, specializing in reanimating corpses. It is the main antagonist in Return to Ostagar DLC of Dragon Age: Origins.
Another necromancer is encountered in the Silverite Mine in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening.
Involvement
Return to Ostagar
The necromancer first appears when you cross the bridge towards the Tower of Ishal. The Warden encounters it right after seeing Cailan Theirin's crucified body and it summons several skeletons. Once the Warden tracks it down to the Ostagar battlefield, it reanimates a Risen Ogre (Elite Boss), as well as raising the ten corpses upon the battlefield. Killing the Necromancer will destroy all reanimated creatures, including the ogre.
