There are several different types of gems that you will find throughout the game. They typically appear under the "Other" category in your inventory.

Note that there are also special gems that can be used as gifts. They are easily distinguished with the purple word "gift" when you examine them in the inventory. See the article on Gifts for more info about these special gems.

Uses

A common question is whether gems are just to be sold to the vendor, or do they have another purpose? The answer is it depends on the gem.
