Gaspard de Chalons is an Orlesian nobleman. He is a member of the Chevaliers and has previously won many victories for Orlais.

Eventually, Gaspard became disillusioned with Celene I's rule and Gaspard began to doubt that Celene’s diplomatic approach to the mage problem or the elven uprisings have any chance in keeping Orlais safe. He decided to challenge Celene for the throne, sparking the Orlesian Civil War as he thought it is time for a new leader, one who lives by the tenets of the Chevalier’s Code, to make Orlais strong again.
His plan may include an alliance with Celene's handmaiden and spymaster, Briala.[1]
