There were many interesting things that were asked and answered in recent Kotaku Asks (http://kotaku.com/kotaku-asks-the-lead-developers-of-dragon-age-inquisi-1694123219 ), but one thing in particular captured my attention - and that was the question from user BlandPancakes, and I quote:

"How about some DLC on the Darkspawn and Deep Roads? The caves in Inquisitions were pretty cool but there wasn't enough of them!"

Arryn Flynn's answer?

"Funny you should ask... :)"

Call me crazy, but I'd say that the next DLC will feature either more darkspawn or Deep Roads... likely both, lol. (also - it's likely no DAI DLC would feature anything outside of Ferelden or Orlais)

Also, I'm content to see them mentioning a few times - in a very vague manner, of course - that eventually we'll get some more answers on post-credit scene (or at least some form of conclusion to "-some- element of that particular beat", haha)... though it's fairly obvious that real answers/conclusions will be seen in either DA4 or maybe DA5. - (MidnightTea7)

If the Deep Roads trip is anything like Valammar or the Tomb of Fairel, it wouldn't be worth the investment of a JoH-size DLC. It would need a hub, a settlement with a population full of quests to give, to justify the cost (can't comment on JoH since it's not coming to PS4 this year, by demand of Microsoft apparently). The most logical option is, say it with me now:

Kal-Sharok. :)

HOLD UP! This YEAR?!--100.36.168.78 (talk) 22:05, March 28, 2015 (UTC)
Ignore that, I picked the middle dialogue option. More likely we'll get it around late April-early May. RShepard227 (talk) 22:08, March 28, 2015 (UTC)

I would love to see some more dwarven-darkspawn conflict again. Even in origins when there was the whole blight thing going on, the whole deep roads section makes you realise just how bad it is down there. But adding to that, in DAI we found that red lyrium had the blight. I would love to see what red lyrium does to the 'spawn. If its possible, I really want to see how Red Templars (The properly "infected" kind) behave alongside the darkspawn. After all, that is the only question I have about red lyrium. If they're working on that... can i just empty my bank account on their laps... its enough to pay for my own copy of the dlc... 94.118.96.5 (talk) 23:13, March 28, 2015 (UTC)

That idea with the red lyrium Darkspawn is very interesting, so interesting that I'm sure Bioware will overlook it and the potential to do something will surely be wasted. Instead they'll just crank out a clone of Dawnguard now that they've copied Dragonborn. what an interesting idea, though. and the Dwarven civilization could also be troubled by the infected lyrium, since lyrium is so integral to their race and culture. Red lyrium has been shown to either lose its power or become dormant after defeating Corypheus (the one in Valley for Sacred Ashes stopped glowing) - I think it may still be a threat, but it may no longer be as potent.. unless somebody else does something with it. At this point it's anybody's guess, I suppose...
Anyhoo, I'm not going to claim that story presented in JoH is the most unique story ever told, but I don't get why some people claim that it's just a clone of Dragonborn. Because it features dragons, viking-inspired culture and current hero's predecessor? Dragons and pseudo-vikings are nothing new in fantasy books, RPGs or games (in fact, dragons have been in Dragon Age far earlier than they were first featured in TES franchise... it's even in the name :P) and Ameridan's story is entirely unlike Miraak's, in every single possible detail. The area is entirely different as well - in no way it reminds me of Solstheim. (MidnightTea7)
Infusing darkspawn with Red Lyrium would be no different than infusing them with normal lyrium, because darkspawn already have the blight. Also, who would bother to do this and why? The Architect and/or one of his Disciples? No other darkspawn are smart enough or independent enough to try something like this. Silver Warden (talk) 00:57, March 29, 2015 (UTC)
But Corypheous seemed to be able to use the Red Lyrium to its fullest extent, and without any drawbacks as far as we know. My guess would be that Red Lyrium is even more effective on -blighted creatures than normal ones rather than the opposite. Caspoi (talk) 14:13, March 29, 2015 (UTC)
Corypheus is hardly a great example of what a typical darkspawn can do. And as far as we know, he had normal lyrium that became red lyrium via his tainted blood. In fact if you take a good look at him, the spots on his face that are clearly RL in Inquisition were dark bluish stone-like protrusions in Legacy. I'm guessing those were chunks of lyrium stuck in his body that became RL do to his blighted nature.
And that is why I think adding RL to darkspawn would be no different than adding normal lyrium: any lyrium added to them would become RL anyway. Silver Warden (talk) 17:40, March 29, 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for posting the link! So BE is planned for May.. I wonder where does that put the next story-based content in terms of release date. And the overall dlc plans for DAI. And yes, dwarves please, that answer from Flynn makes me hopeful :) --Kewpies signature Kewpies[talk] 01:51, March 29, 2015 (UTC)

I do hope we'll see the deep roads and I'd like to see Legion of Dead if Wardens are enthralled by the Elder One. I want to slay ogres, genlocks and shrieks again. It would be interesting to see another disciple as a lieutenant of the elder one. This would be good chance to show the alliance with dwraves mentioned in multiplayer.Andrzej.lewinski.351 (talk) 18:03, March 29, 2015 (UTC)
