I like to complete The Urn of Sacred Ashes and Last of the Legion first. Phyn!X5 2:59, July 22, 2011

I always did the circle first for the sake of earning the healer, it's a necessity. If I were to pick based on storyline, I'd probably choose the Urn of Sacred Ashes. Alternatively Orzammar is a good option for really quick level grinding at the start of the game. 68.171.231.80 (talk) 05:29, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

Circle of Magi(sometimes I visit Wonder of Thedas first), kill Flemeth [yes right after the circle], Nature of The Beast, Redcliff, Sacred Ahes, Orzammar, Denerim =D Raoniluna (talk) 05:44, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

If I'm playing just for fun/story I like to do the dalish quests first, playing for the sake of gameplay circle for the spitrit healer companion.174.45.9.40 (talk) 05:50, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

Unless I'm playing as a rogue, I usually go for the Circle first, mainly for the attribute boosts you get in the Fade (Also just to get this stupid ass quest done and over with). With a rogue, I like going to Orzammar up to the point I get Oghren (my favorite fighter in Origins) and either finish Orzammar or go do Redcliffe. For the most part the routine is Circle,Orzammar,Redcliffe,Denerim,Flemeth,Brecillian Forest, and the Urn.--LordRevan25 (talk) 05:53, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

This should be a poll. Futonrevoltion (talk) 06:12, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

I've put up a poll. Elementalist King Cousland | Talk 07:53, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

I pretty much always go to Redcliffe first, as it seem the most logical place to stat given the discussion you have with Alistair and Morrigan outside Lothering. Then it's to the circle for with help Connor. Then I do the Urn of Sacred Ashes (personally my favorite quest in the whole game). Next I go get Oghren and do a A Paragon of Her Kind. And finish up by running through a forest hunting werewolves. I realise that you didn't ask for my whole game quest log, but hay, if I didn't like running on about DA I wouldn't be here. Orzammar - to get Oghren. Dorquemada (talk) 09:49, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

Same here,.HomelyDrugAddict (talk) 23:57, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

So is it "first" or "most"? Because the topic title says one thing, but the poll says another. If it's first, it's A Paragon of her Kind for me, simply because it's the longest quest in the entire game (I'm pretty sure that, with the Orzammar section, it's longer than Broken Circle), and I want to get the damn Deep Roads out of the way. I go to Redcliffe first, because the game points you there, but I always let Isolde take the fall and move on to Orzammar. If it's purely preference, then Nature of the Beast is my favourite. As for Awakening, I do Last of the Legion first, because I FAR prefer Sigrun to Velanna. And I'd rather have her as a rogue than Nate. Justice doesn't need to be turned Warden, so he's always last. Nilfalasiel (talk) 11:05, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

Story wise, after talking to the Templar in the Chanty in Lothering, the Circle is really pushed as being the first destination choice. Mostly because the right of annulment sounds so serious time-wise, even though it's not really. I usually just always just went there. Plus, you get the healer, as mentioned, the extra stats from the fade quest, some decent goodies, and you get to do away with the fade quest earlier in game. I never thought it as bad as many, but it can be a bit tedious at times. Since I'm solo though much of it, I always do as many side quests as possible first too. Most of Denerim, the DLC's etc. The Grey Unknown (talk) 11:51, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

I generally start with the Elves because it's the shortest and least boring of the main quests. Then I go for the Urn of Sacred Ashes to save Arl Eamon, because I already left him hanging. Then I suffer through Mage Tower and Orzammar and then I enjoy the endgame. In DAOA, I usually go for Last of the Legion first because it's boring(I hate everything related to Orzammar) and then I usually go for Velanna and Justice.RyoCaliente (talk) 13:16, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

I do everything the same as Andy the Black except, after the Urn of Sacred Ashes, I go to the Brecillian forest then Orzammar last. In awakening I do the Righteous path first, then Last of her Legion and finally go to the Blackmarsh, even though Shadows of the Blackmarsh is my favorite quest, Justice doesn't become a Warden so it's only natural to leave him till last. Blood Fort Andromeda (talk) 14:34, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

I do Broken Circle first, to get Wynne. Then off to Redcliffe and the Urn of Sacred Ashes, then to the Brecelian Forest, then some Denerim sidequests, then Orzammar and finish up Denerim. In Awakening, I do Last of the Legion first, then get Velanna, then do the Blackmarsh and get Justice. Gruedragon (talk) 14:04, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

I prefer to go to either the Circle or Redcliffe first, because they seem to have less loot than the others and therefore require less inventory space, although having said that, I usually do the main quests in a totally different order every time so there isn't really one that I start with more often than the others. In Awakening however, I always do the Righteous path first simply because I love Velanna. Violet Rogue (talk) 16:26, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

They want you to go for Redcliffe and thus go to the Mages first, because, let's face it, nobody likes massive disapproval for killing a child/his mother. My favorite, however, is most definitely the Dwarves. Their politics are grossly boring. Kill people in a ring or reveal some treachery and then stop a gang. What fun! Not. But when you get into the deep roads, things get interesting. Ancient thaigs, whispers of things yet found. Filled with un-killed darkspawn and un-plundered secrets. Plus you find a golem maker, which is awesome. As for Awakening, Velanna is both sexy and elvish, so Wending Woods, then Blackmarsh, for me. --173.63.71.218 (talk) 17:11, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

I like to play the story in what I believe makes the most sense plot-wise. For several reasons the Human Noble seems to be the most fitting origin, so I tend to favor the Cousland character.

However, I always do the Mage Tower first before Redcliffe, even though Alistair strongly suggests that we should go see Arl Eamon first and it makes a lot of sense for a noble to seek help from a fellow noble. This is because it's the lowest-leveled area and is between Lothering and Redcliffe. Plus, you get to meet Wynne, the familiar face who was also at Ostagar. Then I do Redcliffe, Urn of Sacred Ashes (probably my favorite quest because it's the most "adventurous"), Orzammar, and finally Nature of the Beast.

I always save the elves' quest for last because I hate the forest maps, the plot seems to have the least to do with Darkspawn, and Leliana sings that song back at camp for you after completion. The first time I saw that scene and heard that song, I was blown away. It invoked feelings of nostalgia and appreciation for what I've already done in the game, and made me feel like the multitudes of adventures were coming to an end. Finally, I steel my resolve and go to Denerim to finish the battle. --Whocares65 (talk) 17:21, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

Origins, I go to Haven first to get all the powerful items that are there, then the Circle, and finally Redcliffe to save Connor and Eamon, almost the exact opposite of how The Arl of Redcliffe is supposed to play out. For Awakening, depends on class. Warrior or Arcane Warrior, go to Black Marsh then Wending Woods to get Vigilance. For Rouge or different Mage Spec, I do Knotwood Hills so Sigrun, the Greatest Dwarf Ever, can join my party. S BenDev (talk) 17:55, July 22, 2011 (UTC)
