Now both games have their Badasses, evil villains and Bearded stallions.

But which game is funnier. Origins gave us Alistair DA2 gave us Varric Origins gave us Zevran and DA2 gave us ISABELA!!! <3<3<3 (yes I slightly like Isabela) Personally I prefer DA2 for comedy, the banter was awesome the referances were so damn cool (one of my favorite movies Citizen Kane)

I'd have to say that DA2, for me, was the funnier of the two. The banter was well developed, and the quests like "The long road" were HILARIOUS, regardless how many times I did it. DA:O did give us small comic reliefs like Oghren and Alistair, but in retrospect the game was meant to me more serious than DA2, so you can't really fault it for that. It was also the small surprises in DA2 that in the end did it for me; during "Legacy", I went to the tower with a Carver who had joined the Grey Wardens, and when I had finished the side quest "Malcolm's will" and Carver made a crack at me and Bethany for being mages, I decided to choose the option "Guess again, ass". The conversation then turned into a "who gets the last say?" contest between us, and of course, my Hawke won. I laughed SOOO hard that I actually had to stop playing for a few minutes in order to get my composure back. Ah, good times XD Sevarian10 (talk) 17:04, August 26, 2011 (UTC)Sevarian10

I think overall DA2, if only because you could have funny Hawke bustin' a joke every 10 minutes. And then we had like the funniest companions of all time. Isabela, Varric, Merrill, even Fenris and occasionally Anders. Hell, even Aveline cracked a joke every now and then. And the Legacy banter is priceless. Not to say that I didn't love Alistair and Oghren and Sten, but they belonged more with the DA2 crew than the DA:O one. Plus the atmosphere in DA2 is just lighter 90% of the time. If there had been no funniness in DA2, I don't think that game would have been even half as passable.Xelestial (talk) 22:16, August 26, 2011 (UTC)

There’s one bit of banter that makes me vote DA2. Looking at our most serious characters from each game, Morrigan and Fenris (others may debate that, but from my view, that’s how I see it).

Varric: So what do you do in that gigantic house all day?

Fenris: Dance, of course.

Varric: Really?

Fenris: I run from room to room, choreographing routines.

Funny, I'd say Aveline and Morrigan are the most serious, besides Sten who is almost always dead serious but still funny in his seriousness. Fenris jokes and cracks smiles too much to win that one for me. I am reminded of a banter between Isabela and Aveline:

• Isabela: So, Donnic was in the Rose.
• Aveline: He was not!
• Isabela: Easy, big girl. He wasn't shopping for himself. You're lucky to have a man who wants to please you.
• Isabela: But, maybe you could indulge him more. Are there areas of intimacy you haven't explored?
• Aveline: Why? Why do you give me these doubts!
• Isabela: Aveline. If you shove your thumb up his ass, I win.
• Fenris: (laughs)
