Not too picky on where the next location is, but I would love to have our own original character to create much like DA:O. But keep the voice acting and let Bioware name the Male/Female that we create. Silent Protagonists don't work in todays age. NwolC (talk) 02:31, December 25, 2011 (UTC)nwolC

Oh, and when did we step into this new voiced protagonist era? If it worked two years ago, I don't see why it wouldn't work now. But I personally don't care wheter my PC has a voice or not. All I care about is that I could say all the things I want to say. What I'd really prefer is a voiced character, but with classical dialogue window, no wheel. As for the place, anywhere they'll throw us in would be fine. As long as DA3 won't have reusable maps. Henio0 (talk) 19:39, December 25, 2011 (UTC)
Think about it. Yeah, it's really climatic when something is blowing up and your character has a blank reaction the whole way through it. Maybe it works for you, I prefer to have my characters voiced. NwolC (talk) 03:27, December 26, 2011 (UTC)nwolC
Well, this is just your preference. Don't say that silent protagonist is outdated just because you don't like it. :) I personally had much more fun pretending my Warden reads the lines in my own voice than to have the mentally challenged three options to chose from for every dialogue. And even then, sometimes Hawke said something completely different to what I'd expect him to. :) I personally don't mind either way, but if they're gonna go with voiced oned, they better do it well. Tevinter. As for the protagonist, I completely agree with you. Ucanpogaca (talk) 12:06, December 25, 2011 (UTC)

I don't care about silent/quiet protagonists anymore, as long is it's done well. Poor quality stands out though, so next time they should do better. As far as the location, I saw an article a few days ago that stated the next DA would be more open ended like Sykrim. We may be all over the place if that's so. This. And I would welcome a little free roaming and enjoying the countryside. Doesn't have to be all of Thedas, but a mountainside or a forest here and there, a nice big city... Somewhere you really want to walk and look, instead of just running from one questmark to another. --Ygrain (talk) 17:23, December 25, 2011 (UTC)
I myself don't really want it to be like Skyrim. Sure, they could work on a few bigger maps to explore, say a mountain or a forest, but I don't want one big map. Henio0 (talk) 13:08, December 26, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah.. protatgonist doesn't matter, but I definately want to know what the hell I'm going to say before I say it. As for setting... Somewhere in the proximity of Kal-Sharok, because I want to see how it differs from Orzammar firsthand. ----Isolationistmagi 20:51, December 25, 2011 (UTC)

I'd love to play throughout Thedas. I'd like to visit Trvinter for sure though. I have no idea who should be a main protagonist though. I do know my ideal team of characters though, but one could also be a main character like a Trvinter mage who is apprenticed to a magistrate and decides to leave all that blood magic behind. I would like my character to be voiced usually, as long as it's good. I like the dialogue wheel, just needs a little more improvement because sometimes what's listed on the wheel and what the character says don't seem to make sense. I do like wondering around and exploring, but I also like familiar territory. It's fun to watch how Kirkwall changes throughout Dragon Age II. As for where the game could take place, Tevinter, Orlais, Nevarra. and Antiva are all interesting, as well as any more places Bioware can dig up. --Double Edged Sword (talk) 06:22, December 26, 2011 (UTC)

I'd like it to Take place in Orlais, or if not there then Tevinter. And they should bring back the varying Origin prequals for differant characters. I'd like the ability to play as a Qunari as well, who is part of the Qun not just Tal vashoth.--Gdubs (talk) 03:05, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

The word you're looking for is "Kossith".

I'd like future DA installments to contain much more emphasis on races and concerns that aren't just human: Deep Roads, home for the Dalish, etc. To that end, I'd either like the protagonist to potentially be non-human (most likely as a form of choice) or for the story to take us to locations that focus on such things. Rathian Warrior (talk) 04:34, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

Personally, I was very fond of the silent protagonist. I could imagine their voice as anything. Though that was somewhat ruined when I read something on some forum about Stephen Hawking playing the warden in a movie. --173.21.194.202 (talk) 04:53, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

I would like the character to be voiced but I know that it would probably take alot of time and money that would be better spent elsewhere. I'm expecting it to be in Orlais, but I'd like to explore the north a bit more. See how bad Tevinter really is, see the effects of 2 Blights in the Anderfels, see the Qunari city in Par Vollen and maybe learn where they came from. --Vampire Damian (talk) 10:07, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

I agree with you on the traveling part, I would like to see more of The Dragon age world, but i would really like to go to Antiva, I'm very curious about the dynamics of the cities. Tho weather the main charecter is voiced or not i don't really mind as long as i get to choose between human elf and dwarf again, although the dialogue wheel didnt really work for me it was funny for a while but now it doesn't let me charecterize my charecter properly, but yeah definitly traveling specially to places we haven't been too and NO re-used maps of course XP --Faye_Cousland (talk)16:49, December 27, 2011
