Dwarves are one of the main parts of DA World, it's obvious a dwarf companion of the Inquisitor is possible in DA3. In DAO we had a stereotypical dwarf; in DAA we have a female dwarf, who shows how strong female can be and how effective on battlefield; in DA2 we had a companion contradicting all stereotypes - rogue instead of warrior, no bread, smart long range combatant not some stupid war hungry grunt. What dwarf companion in DA3 do you wish to have? I ask for gender, personality, class and combat preference and even optional romance.

I personally I'd like to have in DA3 a female dwarf companion like Sigrun, a strong female rogue beating stereotypical brutish dwarven male warriors by her close range combat skills. I don't mind romance option, but I don't want typical or stereotypical dwarven companion.78.8.141.230 (talk) 09:42, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

I would like to see a Dwarf like Kardol. He was a proud dwarf, and a proud member of the legion, duty bound, and a bit of a pessimist. I'd even take a bit of a mix between Oghren and Kardol, where he's happy, and can make jokes, but when the fighting starts he gets serious. There's no questioning his honor. Warrior class, maybe dual wielding axes. I'd have to go with Male with classic full beard. Possible romance option provided you meet some sort of criteria. Perhaps a personal quest to earn his respect/affection. Warden Mage: Ferris (talk) 20:59, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

Dwarf companion wise we've had a casteless legionnaire, a disgraced warrior caste drunk, and a smooth talking surface dwarf which pretty well encompasses three very distinctive aspects of dwarven culture. Personally I'd love to see a silent sister, perhaps with a traveling companion who acts as her mouth piece mainly because I found the silent sisters to be a very interesting order. That or a shaperate sent to the surface for some purpose.--Tabris.the.great (talk) 00:03, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

A Dwarven "Mage". That's right, I said mage. In the sense of Dagna or Dworkin the Mad I mean. A Dwarven Alchemist or Scientist that is proficient at working lyrium and crafting bombs and grenades that simulate elemental magic. This Dwarven Alchemist/Magister/Mage can then utilize these grenades in combat and they'll have their own special talent/weapon tree to reflect this. -- Soulofshezarr (talk) 01:20, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

Magic and alchemy aren't the same and throwing granades is possible for every class.78.8.4.182 (talk) 06:05, May 20, 2013 (UTC)
I always assumed the closest a Dwarf could get to using magic was to become a templar. Which in all honesty would be rather interesting to see as well. Warden Mage: Ferris (talk) 01:39, May 20, 2013 (UTC)
Game often contradicts the lore, for example dwarves are supposed to be immune on magic, but Oghren and Brogan can become templars and/or spirit warriors.78.8.4.182 (talk) 06:09, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

It'd be cool to have a Kal Sharok dwarf.--Liam Sionnach (talk) 04:38, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

I'd like a dwarf female warrior. I'm thinking a woman from the warrior or noble cast that was disgraced for some reason and forced into exile. She'd have to deal with suddenly being a "surface dwarf," someone she was raised to believe was no longer a true dwarf. I'm thinking she'd wield a weapon and shield, but her specialization would be a variation of a berserker, more about hitting hard and fast than being a tank. She would have light or no armor (I'm not suggesting a metal bikini or a fancy dress, perhaps simple yet practical clothing with pieces of leather or metal armor) to go with this theme.

Now that I look at this, I realize that this is very similar to my version of the dwarf noble warden. XP Still, it could be an interesting character if done properly. I suppose she could be a romance option, breaking through that hardened, battle-worn exterior and melting her icy heart? Might not fit her character, but it doesn't matter to me, since I'm still hoping for a Kossith or Tevinter Magister love interest. ;) Sevec 02:10, May 21, 2013 (UTC)

I rather see more original characters with more original backgrounds.156.17.71.249 (talk) 11:47, May 21, 2013 (UTC)

Forget new, I want my storytelling, crossbow loving, beardless dwarf back! Varric was the only thing that made DA2 playable. Please for the love of everything holy and sanctified Bioware, bring Varric back! B.S.S.T. (talk) 04:34, May 21, 2013 (UTC)

I would like to see Oghren in DA3, least in small cameo.—Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs)

It's about dwarven companion in DA3, not cameos of old characters.
