(SPOILER AHEAD) After i was able to calm down from solas's betrayal. I was able to focus on less obvious revelation of the dlc. And that got me thinking about two thing, That are separate yet link about what could happen in DA4. First since i dont have another playtrough that is anywhere near where i can play trespasser. I was forced to go on youtube to see alternate ending. More precisly the one in wich the inquisitor choose to disband the inquisition. What puzzle me is that at the end we still see the cutscene where the ( Former ? ) inquisitor with the main leaders of the suposedly defunct inquisition are planning to go after solas. By recruiting help in tevinte., What does that mean ? Does it mean that the inquisition is not truly gone but just "publicly" disbanded. And they go underground not unlike the templar of assassin's creed ? Or does it mean something else i'm just not seeing ?

And the second thing is an image in thae slide-show that peeked my curiosity. It said that after the event in the dlc peoples began noticing that all the elves in orlais. ( And possibly beyond it blink too fast for me to fully read it. ) Were disapearing to who know where to probably joint solas. And i wonder will that impact the race choice of our DA4 protagonist ? And in that same line of though will DA4 force us to choose a side between this "new" elven nation and the tevinter or qunari ? DragonInquisitor (talk) 18:27, September 14, 2015 (UTC)

In the scene where the Inquisitor, Leliana, Cassandra, Harding (and possibly other people?) are discussing what to do about Solas, there are two possibilities. In one, where the Inquisition is controlled by the Divine, Cassandra says that it is vulnerable to Solas's spies and Leliana says that they have more resources to work against him. If the Inquisitor is disbanded, the scene is very similar (same people, same set up) but Cassandra instead says they have no army and no spies. Leliana says "we have what we truly need". I took that to mean that the four (or more?) of them were working on their own.

As for being an elf in DA 4, who knows. Maybe that won't even be an option. I doubt we'll be able to side with the qunari though. Their organization is just too strict to allow for any plot development. The PC would simply have to follow orders, and that hardly sounds like a position Bioware would want the PC in. It's also unlikely that we'll get a chance to join Solas's forces (at least not sincerely). I think Solas will be working in the shadows (so to speak) rather than waging war. Tevinter is too wrapped up in it's own politics and fighting to the qunari to focus on a shadowy organization that only maybe exists (in their eyes). However, it's possible that the PC could be: A) a mage or non-mage from Tevinter that stumbles upon Solas's plot or is recruited by the Inquisition (or the Inquisitor's team); B) An elf that hears about Solas's growing army of elves and either joins and is immediately turned into a spy for the Inquisition/Inquisitor's team; C) a normal civilian from Nevarra or the Anderfels or Seheron or a Tal-Vashoth who gets involved with the Seekers (remember, Cassandra still has them) and through them the Inquisition/Inquisitor's team; or D) somebody else, cause who knows what they'll do at this point. And we'll have to wait a few years before we find out anything. :( Silver Warden (talk) 19:09, September 14, 2015 (UTC)

I don't think the race choices will be limited in DA4. I think bioware will opt to at least have companions who strongly align with with one side or the other (Inquisitor or Solas), while the main character comes from varying backgrounds. In this case, I reckon Harding for the Inquisitor and that elf who saved us during Trespasser for Solas. I reckon we might see a Tevinter Mage who specialises in the fade, and a Vashoth rogue who has been working alongside the wardens, or is a warden (mainly because I want to see a Qunari warden). But as to what the next protagonist will be working for/towards, I don't know. But, I have some ideas for their origin stories. If you choose a Qunari, you are a prisoner of Tevinter, suspected of having key information regarding the Gaatlok and its use in the assassination, despite the fact that you are a Vashoth mercenary who was on a contract in Minrathous. Elf, you are suspected to be one of Solas' agents, and have been captured in the crossfire of the assassination, you are in fact a Tevinter Elf who was born in secret and has lived alongside a kind noble family who kept your existence secret. Dwarf, you are a carta member suspected of supplying lyrium to the enemy, you are in fact unknowlingly an agent of Valta's sent to eliminate Fen'harels carta suppliers. Human warrior or rogue, you are the body guard of a high ranking magister who gets assassinated, or something, you work to find the assassin and uncover the greater plot at hand. If you're a human mage you're a fresh new recruit for that thing Dorian started up with Maevaris, then seek to find whoever murders Maevaris. Basically, Solas' agents do what the qunari planned in the south to Tevinter, and assassinate the Black Divine and other Magisters in that place, the magisterium(?), (kind of similar to the Houses of Parliament or Congress). All so the elven Slaves can slip free while the Qunari and Tevinter step up their efforts against each other. DeakialSig1 19:49, September 14, 2015 (UTC)

Why do people assume Solas' plot will go at full speed in DA4? Flemeth's plot (that Solas is continuing after her death) was entirely dormant during DA2. Maybe we'll only get minor developments in DA4 and it won't be the main thing.

The Inquisition is under the Divine and does whatever the Divine does, so they can focus on Solas if they want to. If it has been disbanded, the (former) inquisitor and their allies plot on how to deal with Solas on their own. Cassandra, Leliana and Harding are the ones in that scene (plus your love interest if you romanced someone other than Cassandra or, evidently, Solas) which leads me to believe they'll send Harding to Tevinter to recruit "people Solas doesn't know". Disbanding leads to the Inquisitor getting rid of all weak links in the Inquisition, so to keep the secrecy and make sure Solas' spies don't track their plans they have to plot in secret. If the Inquisition stays, then they let a lot of people go and make joining the inquisition a lot harder to avoid spies.

As for the second thing, it's not all the elves in Orlais, it's just many of them. I doubt we'll be able to side with Solas or the Qunari, but the Inquisition's remnants and Dorian's faction in the Magisterium sound like good bets.--ssalgnikool (talk) 20:04, September 14, 2015 (UTC)

I completely agree with the above statement. For some reason, the whole plot surrounding Solas seems like something you'd actually end the series with. It sounds like a catastrophic event that'll change Thedosian societies forever, whether Solas' plan fails or succeeds. It also seems like a plot that could take place across Thedas rather than just the Imperium. We could get a perfectly full, expansive game with only minimal references to Solas; I almost see Solas as a puppet-master akin to what we all thought Flemeth was, who's working behind the lines whilst Thedas goes through some real tough shit. I could see them building up Solas' threat-factor (not that it's not big already) whilst we engage in a brutal war in Northern Thedas or something. That said, I also believe it won't necessarily be as black and white as siding with Solas or the Qunari. Lazare326 22:13, September 14, 2015 (UTC)

As long as i doesnt end with the choices: End the world, merge the fade and thedas or control the fade... sounds familar? Id expect thenext game to take place i tevinter and free marches with us as maybe a slave or merc from tevinter or free marches (which also makes me think Calpurnia will be a companion just pretty much building up a army to stop Solas plan/Qunari invasion/Dragon invasion/Tevinter...something to do with Tevinter. Tevinter, Seheron and/or Northern Nevarra/Antiva/Rivain/Anderfels to me are best bets for the next location, I see them picking out at least 3 nations to cover. They're unlikely to go for an open world in the sense of Skyrim, but large locations here and there, just like DAI. Here's hoping for more cities and some villages in vast areas of forestry at least. I could see them do a whole northern Thedas sort of thing. I suppose they're more comfortable with the engine and so on... Lazare326 10:58, September 15, 2015 (UTC)
I remember during the Twitch gameplay videos when Laidlaw was asked about whether or not we could swim in Inquisition, and his answer just made me think, "Oh crap, in DA4 we're gonna be pirates". But yeah, I can see them covering more nations this time around, but in the same style as Inquisition. Lots of areas to divert from the main plot. DeakialSig1 11:19, September 15, 2015 (UTC)
