I hope that this DLC will provide more answers than questions especially about Solas. We know that the Inquisitor will meet him again so I hope that he will not say some piece of crap like morrigan did in the witch hunt but that he will give us some answer about the orb of destructions, about flemeth and the elvhen gods. It also seems that with the qunari involved in this we could learn something new about them or maybe even get via eluvian to Seheron or Par Vollen so I hope it will be worth my money not like The Descent. Everyone is forgetting that history not being what it seems is kind of a main theme of the dragon age games. Yes games can have themes they are a form of art like movies and books that tell a story. Bioware will give us 1 answers that will leave 3 questions. I for my part like how the lore has turned out, things aren't as simple as they seem and Tevinter destroying the Ancient Elves always didn't sit right with me, I always wondered how? They immortal, magic wielding Elves taken down by a upstart human empire. I'm guessing that Bioware will answer what the Anchor is and what the power of the orb is but will not explain Solas plan or history. What I'm really interested in find out is : Will Solas tell the Inquisitor he is the Dread Wolf. We the player known but our character doesn't, so how is Solas going to do this.[[User:TheDMF]]

Whoops, double post. I didn't notice this was mentioned already because Wikia didn't update for me.

I hope this is not the end of Inquisition, I really want a expansion. Awakening was awesome but really I want a one, Origin had 7 story DLC's and with Trespasser we will have only 3. Dragon Age 2 only had 3 DLC's and it wasn't nearly as successfully as Inquisition, pus theirs so much story left to explore: The Gray Wardens and The Mages and Templars. I just want some goddamn answers to my questions about what really happened to the Elves, what the black city is, what the Blight really is and MOST of all: WHAT DOES SOLAS over the edge to seal the elves gods and where are they sealed! I get that I will likely get only one of these questions answered or none but goddamn I need answers User:TheDMF

I've developed a formula for bioware, if you're going to get an answer to a question. They're going to pile on about 8 additional questions when answering your 1. The answer will likely undo some part of established lore, and then they won't touch on it again. Warden Mage: Ferris (talk) 19:41, August 30, 2015 (UTC)
That's only until the final game in a series. Then, during the last ten minutes of the game they will answer all your questions at once and give about thirty seconds to be all WTF! before forcing you make a completely ridiculous arbitrary choice that seems like it would be a big deal but actually has very little impact on the ending. Oh, and one of those choices will be so bad it will make you want to kick whoever wrote it in the balls.
...not that I'm referring to any specific game... Silver Warden (talk) 20:08, August 30, 2015 (UTC)
Also they'll add things that don't make any sense to be in the lore and are totally silly, like... a Lyrium Machine gun or something.. oh... wait... Warden Mage: Ferris (talk) 20:58, August 30, 2015 (UTC)
It's silly and annoying in combat, but it does make sense in the lore. It's not literally a machine gun, it's a repeating crossbow that fires pellets of lyrium. Sure, that's somewhat like a machine gun, but machine guns can fire on full auto for far longer than the Sha-brytol weapon does and at further distances. It's basically Bianca (the bow) only it fires lyrium instead of arrows. Silly, but it does fit the lore. Silver Warden (talk) 00:00, August 31, 2015 (UTC)
I dunno if I'd agree it matches the lore. First we were told Bianca was made by a Carta dwarf and that all of them miss fired except for 1, we are then told it was really just Bianca's own design but that if any one else found out how to make then it would be disastrous. With Varric the only person to own such a crossbow and no one having been able to replicate it, coupled with never hearing anyone attempting to, the lore is suggesting it's not only difficult to make a working g repeating crossbow, no one is smart enough to even attempt it. Yet here these dwarves have had dozens that shoot raw lyrium (which we were already lead to believe should have addled their brains and potentially killing them not making them stronger) none of that to me personally adds up. Warden Mage: Ferris (talk) 01:16, August 31, 2015 (UTC)
The confused origin story of Varric's bow actually makes perfect sense. Varric doesn't want them to be mass-produced since they're so deadly and easy to operate, he promised that he wouldn't tell Bianca's story, and he frequently lies. I have no problem with the lyrium guns either. The surfacers fall back on magic, which tends to stunt their progress technologically (note that the qunari aren't that far off from fire arms, and I'm pretty sure there's a codex on siege weaponry just recently becoming more wide spread), and the dwarves of Orzammar (while pretty advanced) are likely slowed by the caste system- either losing some bright minds that aren't in the Smith caste, or possibly avoiding certain areas of study so as not to upset the Warrior caste. The dwarves in the Abyss have no such societal constraints holding them back, and have been down there defending their territory for a very long time.--Liam Sionnach (talk) 02:54, August 31, 2015 (UTC)
My point isnt that it doesnt make "sense" my point is its borderline poor writing... They've continued to take things established, and altered them for some sort of "twist" factor. For instance, the Crossbow, while yes, it makes sense Varric would muddy the details and say someone else built it. But why did Varric have to lie to Hawke of all people? Why did Varric have to try and talk down Gerav by saying he's taken good care of his crossbow? those questions didnt appear untill someone wanted to just twist established lore that really didnt need a twist. The Sha-Brytol were also ancient dwarves, meaning they've had the technology long before Bianca built hers. They predate the blights, which means there should have been plenty of schematics around someone would have stumbled upon by now. There should have been some left overs in places like the primeval thaig, which plenty of people have tried to visit by now. I know this has gotten a bit off topic, so I apologize but recently it just feels as if Bioware is content with unwriting everything they already wrote for no reason. Take the elves for example, finding out Tevinter had nothing to do with it's demise undercuts everything they wrote about, on how powerful the Tevinter of old was. It also undercuts the whole Dailish blaming humans for their lost culture. Enough instances like this and the world I fell in love with in Origins will just be a fond memory. Warden Mage: Ferris (talk) 06:13, August 31, 2015 (UTC)
I agree, there in no reason for Varric to lie to his best friend and about destruction of Arlanthan, I feel tricked because everything you thought you know about arlathan is a lie and it means we actually dont know anything important about it except for that immortal ancient elves lived there and than it was destroyed. Discovering that legends about elvhen gods are a fraud is a discover big enough, in my opinion there is no need to ruin that little we know about arlathan but it seems that bioware has some other plan with elves and their gods and taht the old version of arlathanĀ“s destruction does not fit into this plan.Roach22 (talk) 11:57, August 31, 2015 (UTC)
