Overall I think it was pretty good. Definitely room for improvement though. Your thoughts?--Legolas777 (talk) 21:22, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

I also thought the demo was very good, although I do wish they had let us play what happeneds straigh after Flemeth's bit instead of skipping it, Although I suppose it's to late to complain now, I think the combat is greatly improved and I don't mind not being able to choose a race, also the voice acting is brilliant. -Freedom4mage

I agree, I don't really mind not being able to change my race.--Legolas777 (talk) 21:47, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

I agree that there is room for some improvement, but from my experience of the demo, I believe the pros outweigh the cons. Basically, the demo was meant to just get players use to the changes in each class, the dialogue wheel, give us a small sample of the voice acting, and to introduce new menu features such as, for example, how health potions have a cool down time to add more of a challenge instead of just spamming it to win. As stated in other demo related forums, some things like the fact that the demo was too short or that some of the voice actors didn't really show their best did put a damper on the demo, but quite frankly, I don't think that was Bioware's main focus when giving us the demo. Like Bioware has said in the past, they don't like spoiling the story for their players, so if they had added more than they did, they may have ruined a bit or us, or at least for me. In short, the demo was everything I expected to get from it; I got to try out each class, I got to get familiar with the new radial/other menus, I got a taste of some bosses, tried out the new dialogue wheel, and got to see some voice acting in action. Overall, I had fun with the demo, and that is enough for me (lol Zev moment ;P) Sevarian10 (talk) 21:52, February 24, 2011 (UTC)Sevarian10

Finally someone else who agrees so far on all the forums I,ve seen on this topic are how they would rather be able to choose a race than have Hawke speak, but I found it really annoying in DA:O haveing only a one-sided coversation. -Freedom4mage

I thought it was OK. But did anyone else think that the women ran like idiots?

Yeah it looked strange at times like they nedded the toilet or something lolz :P -Freedom4mage

I always pick human race in DAO so DA2 is perfectly fine to me, too. My main concern right now is the ultimately-super-ugly-worst-idea-ever darkspawn armor. I almost cried (in sorrow)to think that I'm gonna have to play DA2 with it. Whoever came out with this idea has no taste in fashion, but what makes me sad is that no one in Bioware cares about this (sob).Hpa tqn (talk) 22:12, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

The darkspawn looke horrible but the rest was awesome Yash7 (talk) 22:16, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah I always played as Human Noble Warrior in dragon age:origins so number 2 doesn't really bother me, however I absolutely detest playing as a dwarf, so I do understand why so many people are upset as playing as a human, as I could understand if we were forced to play as a dwarf Charlotte cousland (talk) 22:27, February 24, 2011 (UTC)Charlotte cousland

I'm guessing the darkspawn look like that because of Varric's narration, same could be said with Bethany's oversized breasts and Flemeth's clothes. But back to topic, I think the demo was awesome, but I'm curious... Does anyone know if that timeskip from when you meet Flemeth to where you're helping Isabela is from the demo and that you actually play in that meantime on the original? 'Cuz it kinda seemed off... Skipping everything like that and Hawke automatically leveling up. —Rocketai (Ho there! Chase my tail!) 00:21, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

Finally, someone who understand why Flemeth and the darkspawn changed from DA:O to DA2. I'm getting sick of people complaining that it doesn't make sense and saying that the darkspawn have been infected with some disease. People! DA2 is Varric's version of the events, and there's even some parts in which he didn't take part. On the subject of the demo though, I really liked it. The only bad part is that it was too short, so it's not going to get me till march 11. Now, what should I do till then? --Davilimap (talk) 00:30, February 25, 2011 (UTC)
Heh, it was the most obvious explanation. Varric even says "That what I was told" which means he may never have seen Flemeth and just came up with a design that would fit a "Witch of the Wilds" that transforms into a dragon. He's a story-teller, A.K.A a bard... Bards tend to exaggerated a lot. —Rocketai (Ho there! Chase my tail!) 00:40, February 25, 2011 (UTC)
@Rocketai, No, that's not in the full game. Just showcasing parts of the whole game I guess. Because some of the parts in between were shown during the live broadcast and chat a while back, when Mike Laidlaw was showing some gameplay with female mage Hawke. Ahhh, I see. Thanks. I think I saw the video footage you're talking about, but I didn't know it occurred between when you meet Flemeth and when you meet Isabela. —Rocketai (Ho there! Chase my tail!) 00:40, February 25, 2011 (UTC)
