So BioWare confirmed the Qunari Inquisitor to be a "vashoth", but they also said it's a Qunari who was never under the Qun. I think the better term would have been a Qunari bas, not a Vashoth, as a vashoth is someone who rejects the Qun. What do you think?[[User:Henio0|Henio0]] ([[User talk:Henio0|talk]]) 09:16, May 20, 2014 (UTC)'

:Sorry to nitpick, but a ''Tal''-Vashoth is someone who rejects the Qun. Vashoth is someone who was never introduced to it in the first place. "Bas" is more of a race thing, kinda like the Japanese "Gaijin." It's my feeling the kossith Inquisitor will be sorta like Worf or Odo from Star Trek; someone raised outside their race's culture. 13:25, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

I don't know... Bas means "thing", doesn't it? it's mostly used for everyone outside the Qunari people. But the Tal Vashoth as you said are those that were once Qunari people that actively rejected the Qunari philosophy. If you're a grey giant, kossith. I think the lore dicates that you're born into the Qunari or the Tal Vashoth community. It's not like "kossith" is a birth defect or something that any race could "accidentally" produce. If you're a big grey horned giant, you're borne Qunari or Tal Vashoth, meaning you grew up following either of those philosophies, the Qun or rejecting the Qun. I think Bas is for people that are actively ignorant of the Qun, I guess the real question is whether or not the Tal Vashoth actively teach their young about the Qun and reject those teachings rather than embracing them. Vashoth are kossith born and raised completely outside the qun so I really don't think we will have tal-Vashoth parents. My guess is that you where born in a small and rare community of kossith that NEVER learned of the qun.Thehumaneldar (talk) 12:20, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

I hope so... but i don't know how that would be possible... Sten in Origins makes it sound like the Qunari and the Tal Vashoth are always at each other's throats. I don't know how a small community of Kossith could be excluded from this... religious? warfare. Kaspar Sinclair (talk) 12:26, May 20, 2014 (UTC)
under the lore the qun demands they be hunted down and folded into the qun or be killed. they wouldn't be free from but it doesn't mean they are non existent.198.85.210.203 (talk) 13:17, May 20, 2014 (UTC)
