I wouldn't want a Dragon Age mainstream game to feature multiplayer, and if they did it, I think it'd have to be as a stand-alone MMORPG. Even then I'm unsure that it'd work well, and considering Bioware/EA's current financial state, I don't think we'll be seeing it anytime soon. I think that it'd be cool if you could have a 4 player co-op campaign. You would host a game, and choose which major quest you would be doing. You would then select the level you would be doing it at, and select your class. The higher level you choose, the more money you get to buy your equipment. So level 25 would be 500 sovereigns or something. But to save time on selecting stuff from the database, you would have different customizable classes like in CoD. You would play through the level with three other guys. You'd also have a different playlists, like duel, so you could upload one of your characters and pit him/her against someone else. You'd have team deathmatch at different arenas, squad on squad combat, capture the flag, so you'd have to use tactics, and survival, so you'd be beset by darkspawn/dragons/demons/muggers by the dozens until overwhelmed. I especially like the duel mode idea, cause then I could kick my brothers butt.

Numerous sites are starting to report DA3 will have multiplayer options it seems. None of the articles contains any worthwhile info, Google it if you want. And all this is clearly based off of the first two weeks sales per these articles as well, which were outstanding. Since then, sales have not moved well so I'm a little skeptical, and there's no official release either. I have no idea how that would work either, but I'm not the sort to play a multiplayer game so...Still...I got nothing really. Have at it. The Grey Unknown (talk) 18:49, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

I think multiplayer would work well in the game, think about it. Dialogue wheel pops up, you or your companions pick an option, if they go first their character interjects based on who was talking to the NPC. I miss that about DAO, conversation was comming and then if you have X companion in your party they simply answer for you. almost like the character dialogue options in DA2 but i like it when they have their own personality and answer strongly because thats how they feel... then the option comes to override them cuz A) its funny or B) you hate them!

I was always led to believe DA:O has multiplayer until I bought it for PC. Multiplayer would go wonderfully with Dragon Age, and not just because the AI is horrendous and you basically have to make every tactic yourself. Gaikang (talk) 19:07, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

Guh. The emphasis should first be placed on what they do best and, if that's finished and there's still some development time left, *then* experiment with gameplay options that they have no experience with and that other companies are much better at. The last thing the franchise needs in multiplayer, which after DA"2" is surely exactly what it will see. You can't have both a strong narrative with as many custom options(there should be even more not less in a true sequel) and have any practical multiplayer experience. Maybe they could throw on some PVP mode not related to the story at all. Where you and your group battles another player and their group in orzamers proving or something, kind of like guild wars hero battles mode but I would not want to see any multiplayer tied into the main game. 174.45.6.228 (talk) 19:54, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

Even more bugs! Brilliant! However it would be awesome if we worked in 4's to fight like a High Dragon or something 217.43.195.137 (talk) 20:07, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

How many games have great single player AND multiplayer? Any that even come close to the quality of Origins? Given how rushed Awakening and DA2 were do you really expect them to be able to manage both for DA3 when they couldn't even manage one for DA2?Rayvio (talk) 20:15, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

Make players take over a companion for fights! basically I would be happy with that. Thats all I want. I would even buy exbox live for that. Im easily impressed :D Subject 14 (talk) 20:18, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

Hmm.. I have to admit that I've been thinkink how cool it would be to play Dragon Age co-op. Think about the possibilities with dialogue and so. But anyways, imo Dragon Age is not ready for such, it would take so much time to redesign everything etc. Particularly the main problem would be fitting both players to same screen, I guess... Anyways, Hope that we are gonna see such a game (Co-op where choices actually matter) as soon as possible. TheMaple (talk) 20:23, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
