I know we had a thread about what we would name Hawke, and the names were quite fun, but what did we actually end up doing? Were there as many "Mike" Hawkes as expected?
- My first Hawke, a male rogue, was named Kendall.
- My second, a female mage, was named Saara. (yes, a joke referring to everyone calling me Serah.)
- My current Hawke, a male warrior, is named Astor.
I've never used any of these names in Origins, and hadn't intended to use any of them. They were just spur-of-the-moment. However, after naming Astor, I did name my dog Cody. I'm a big Dexter fan (even though I did gender swap Astor.) LVTDUDE (talk) 00:36, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

I usually go with a letter theme. Since I went with the default male name on my first playthru (Male Mage) that basically locked me into G. My first mage was Lysander, and his dog was named Sev (ended up deleting this one sadly) My warrior was named Duncan, and his dog Varian (I'm going somewhere with this I swear..) My rouge was named Zeke and his dog I named Sevarian (after the warden I imported from DA:O) And currently I'm doing another mage named Axel, with his dog Lea (Kingdom hearts fans will get this reference)and I plan to do at least 2 more mages; one of them will be named Dante and his dog Virgil (cuz he's a bit of a bitch lol) and the other will be the replacement to my first mage Lysander, carrying on his namesake. I named my female mage Bethany. It made for some funny dialogue with Mother yelling at me for letting myself die. I generally go with an Alistair-inspired "Mangy" for the dog.

I have only played one character so far...just got it and my 360 back a couple weeks ago, but plan to actually play the game at least 3 times, maybe up to 12. My first character was a male rogue named Zorion and his dog was Varg. My planned second will be a female mage named Yelena. 3rd will be a male warrior named Leonidus (after Leonidus from 300, they do say command like a spartan). 4th will be a female rogue named Felicia. 5th a male mage named Stefan. 6th female warrior named Rhianna. 7 and 8 will be using the default names with Marian being a mage and Garret being a rogue. 9th will be a female warrior named Kiara. 10 will be a male rogue named Ebon (ues after KOTOR fame). 11 will be a female mage named Dyani. And the last one (at this time, i do have a potential of 20 more names if i so wished it) will be a male warrior named Xander.

My only complete playthrough was a male rogue named Artur Hawke (yes, a deliberate nod to the 'Wheel of Time' series). My mage, Mithras Hawke, got all the way through to the final battle with Meredith but the game froze late in that combat and I didn't have the heart to re-do it and go through killing all those effing statues again... Currently, I'm testing out some mods with a new rogue, Brendan Hawke, but I doubt I'll persevere to the end, though I might do it just to side with the Templars for the first time and 'round out' my missing achievements that way... For both playthrus I used the default Garrett. I'll probably always use the default name. My dogs' names are the following: Liam's hound: Thrasseus, Kira's hound: Hevvey, Morrigan's hound: Kraedon.
