You guys are amazing! The winner of the Isabela vs. Zevran is [ drumroll please]... Zevran! It was close though! I have a new one. Sebastian or Leliana. These two are comparable because they are both archers and they both accept the chantry. Remember the rules of the game though! Stay on topic and give me at least one reason no matter what it is. If you don't give me a reason then I will not listen to your vote.

Many characters in DA:O were better written, and in this case Leliana comes up far above Sebastian. Don't get me wrong, there are people who say that he is bland and incomplete dlc character, but I feel that he has potential for his character. That potential, however, lies outside DA2 since I only find him appealing when he has truly gone against his vows (when the big bang happens). Though I am a little perplexed as to why you would compare them.... Leliana was someone who had a past she was ashamed of, Sebastian was more like the Wynne of DA2. Lelsi. 4 reasons: she's the most satisfying romance in any video game I've ever played, if you stay on her good side you can still have sex with her, she's lesbian, and I can give her an awesome nickname like Lelsi. So I'll be the odd man out and say Sebastian for a few reasons. One I find him to be a way better asset than Leliana in combat. Two, while he has the whole faith in the Maker thing, in conversation he seems more laid back about and willing to joke about it while Leliana just pretty much got pissy. Three, he doesn't have to be slept with to be cool in my mind. And most importantly, he's got the badass white armor. Why not just find Wade and have him make you your own, custom fitting set? (isn't it wierd how regardless what armor you pick up.. it fits? I love the spandex-style of the Blood Dragon Armor.. Leliana! No way could Sebastian win. leliana Sings at Camp, is a real LI, way funnier, has way more of a story than "parent put me in chantry but I want my land back now kind of oh maker tell me!" Leliana was an Orlesian Bard betrayed by her best friend, her orlesian french accent, stayed in the chantry, left to help the Hero of Ferelden end the blight, has her own DLC, the List goes on!!!! meanwhile sebastian's only plus is his armor. -Visitor

Leliana. She's my favorite character out of any of the games. I almost didn't get awakening cause she wasn't in it. She's funny, cute, and although most people don't think so, she can be a real badass, especially if she's hardened. The verdict is pretty much unanimous and I agree. Seb was pretty much a prick. They could have done better with the DLC companion in my opinion. I kept telling the grand cleric she was useless just to piss him off haha. And yeah, the wanting Anders dead part. Leliana. No contest as Sebastian is a complete douchebag and she is very hot and that voice...She's very read between the lines in some ways, only giving subtle hints as to what she is really like, though much more so with hardening her, a must, but that kinda works for her and makes sense given her past. I do notice that many many people seem to gloss over these things/hints and just consider her the "good" churchy romance option whose a good person etc etc. Actually, that's not true. She can be just as manipulative as Morrigan, only in very different ways. And she's much better at hiding things. She's one of the deeper characters in either game really, and her motivations and actions, especially as she's a seeker now, are wide open to interpretation. No way a hardened Leli in a warden romance is with the chantry just to be with the chantry and find the warden. It's planned most likely. She's deeper than that and tends to fool a lot of people from what I read. She's a great character, one of the best easily, and she can really fight too if you make her right. I would have never compared her to Sebastian honestly. That's just a surface comparison (archer/chantry). The Grey Unknown (talk) 12:41, March 24, 2011 (UTC)

I'm beginning to think these lineups should be a little more comprehensive... Oh well... Leliana for a few reasons, 1) She's not a DLC companion (I'm stationed overseas and have to jump through hoops to get Microsoft XBL points!) 2) Sebastian, from what I've read, is a whiny bitch. 3) Leliana, when hardened, is a total badass; she will have a foursome (HAD to get that one out of my system!) 4) The real-life person she's 'supposed' to be modeled after is UBER hot! Sebastian Vs. Nathaniel Vs. Leliana - Aveline Vs. Justice Vs. Alistair Vs. Loghain - Fenris Vs. Oghren Vs. Sten... Though call... So far, Seb seems like a very nice and polite person. Regarding the other suggestions... Merrill and Morrigan are complete oposites, and every second Merrill grows on me. She's just so cute and adorable! Awakening Anders was far better. In DA2 I found him unbearable. Fenris seems like an ass, so I'll pick Sten (the two Two-Handers), but I didn't spent too long with Fenris. Varric is my Hawke's Lancer (the Solo to his Luke, so to speak), so for me Varric over Oghren, though Oghren was very fun to have around too. Aveline and Alistair are tied for me. Aveline was incredible, and she looks really great with the Lion and the Fadeshear. Between Isabela and Zevran, I'll pick Zev, but like Fenris, I barelly used Isabela. Bethany and Carver... Well, they're family, and I found myself getting incredibly pissed everytime something went after Bethany, and the best comparative in Origins was Wynne. Leilana seems more well rounded to me, she's funny, cute, sexy, and Anders makes a great point against Sebastian and his armor. "So you think the Maker likes you having his wife's face on your crotch all the time?"

Leliana, because she has a think for elven women who are younger than her...

Leliana - mostly for all of the reasons stated above and I think she's really well written. Like a poster stated above, most of the DA:O characters were better written than the DA2 counterparts. It almost isn't even fair to compare. One thing about Leliana, is that she IS lying to you the whole time. When you uncover her (metaphorically, we already discussed the other =) she's really a lot tougher than you'd think. She's murdered in cold blood all for the games of love and Orlesian politics. Now, you, as a player can decide if she gets to make amends and start over, or if she'll retain her spy roots. That just makes her more intriguing IMO. Sebastian, seems (and I admit, I haven't spent the time reading his dialog as much), like a person caught in a crisis of conscience, but his story is almost my HN Warden's, just without all the archdemon slaying that went with him. Leliana, hands down. Sebastian is a nice guy... however, a lot of things about him just rub me the wrong way. 1) He accuses both Merrill and Anders of being Malificarum, even though only Merrill is. 2)He's a hypocrite who only invokes his right as prince when it is convenient for him and 3) The only way to complete a romance with him (if you could even call it that) is to kill Anders... seriously, I hardly think murdering someone is romantic by any means. Leliana, on the other hand, was a good friend who understood that not everything was just black or white, and was willing to see the grey. Plus she was WAY more useful than Sebastian, who I have only used I think 5 times in the span of 2 playthoughs while as Leliana I have always used for the first 30 hours of each of my playthroughs, and I did 10 of them. Leliana for versatility. I love Seb's armor though, and his Scottish-err-Starkhaven accent. But I love Leliana.. yup. I just love her. heh.. My vote for Leliana. Sebastian.
