I know it might be nit-picking but come on really. Bears as strong as dragons, well it may be a slight stretch but when a single bear is able to kill Varrick using poison bolts, 2 mages and Cassandra, there is serious flaw in the game, well unless they were wearing a suit of enchanted heavy armor that they got from a previous victim.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Hitsugayatoshirou (talk • contribs)
- I agree, bears are way too strong in this game. On Hard, I'm level 22 and they can still take out 3/4 of my party members. *grumps* WhisperingElf (talk) 23:15, March 29, 2015 (UTC)WhisperingElf
Sign your posts with 4 tildes(~) at the end. Anyways, I don't really have any problem with bears even on Nightmare difficulty. If you've crafted stuff for Varric with fade-touched materials that grant berserk, that might be the problem. Alternatively, if your Varric is an archer then you should try and keep him out of melee range and have Cassandra tank. 174.22.233.24 (talk) 21:31, March 29, 2015 (UTC)
Are you talking about great bears vs. dragonlings or normal bears vs. high dragons? The second pair isn't true even in hyperbole. The first pair makes sense if you think about it. Although the dragonlings in Inquisition look like drakes from Origins and DA 2, they are actually supposed to be the baby dragon "dragonlings" from the previous games. And those were even less difficult than the typical bear in Origins, so having a bear/great bear be as tough as a dragonling or wyvern or similar enemy makes total sense. Below level 9, bears can be devastating. 12.146.29.230 (talk) 01:27, March 30, 2015 (UTC)
- So can wyverns and dragonlings, which is basically my point. Silver Warden (talk) 01:43, March 30, 2015 (UTC)
The great bears in the Hinterlands can be difficult to fight of you encounter them very early and whilst still in your first sets of gear ,other than that I didnt find them too difficult but then I usually play as a mage in most of my saves so most enemies are easier...although I'd link to think the bears were SUPERBEARS woohoo super bears!
