Yes, xp doesn't get divided. You'll get the same amount of xp if you fight alone that you do with 3 companions assisting you. It is also true that the same amount is given to everyone currently in the active party regardless of how many party members there are. I've tested this out personally. So I'm absolutely certain of it. I have heard though that if a ranger's summoned pet makes a kill, then nobody in the party gets any xp for that kill. Given that I've never had a ranger in my party, I have not tested that one out. Neither am I certain one way or another about temporary companions who are unable to gain xp. Has anyone actually hit level 25 on DAO with regular means without using any of the exploits? The highest I've gotten was level 23 without using the exploits and doing every quest possible. I find it hard to believe that they would make a level cap that is unattainable without "cheating." Also, when your Warden or a companion makes a kill, it will show you the experience points earned. Now, from my understanding, everyone gets the same amount of experience points, correct? Well, I only ask this because it seems that if my Warden makes the kills, I seem to level faster... unless it's just my imagination. Thoughts?

Neither have I. I only ever got up to 22, I think. Maybe if you take your sweet time killing the Archdemon, and just let the hordes of Darkspawn spawn over and over again, you can get to 25. Would take FOREVER though. Oh, and about the experience thing---I think I got the same amount of XP whether it was my main that killed something or it was a party member. Not 100% sure, though. Never really bothered to really look. =P Magnum101 19:17, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I actually tried to do that but it was taking forever since it's like 10 xp or something per kill, hahaha... and I didn't want to wipe out while wasting health and lyrium potions, heh. Also, after playing the game a few times, I try to make sure I disarm as many traps as possible for that tiny 5-40 xp... ::sigh::

I've only hit 22 in two playthroughs, doing every quest for XP (but I didn't kill everyone I could for XP - didn't kill Flemeth, didn't kill a lot of minor people that I just intimidated into leaving instead. I think with all of those plus some more traps I might've just hit 23.) It seems that way to me too sometimes, but I don't know if kills by your allies (not your party but people who temporarily help you out) count towards your xp..i would assume it does but as i said not sure .Vavasor 20:47, March 20, 2010 (UTC)
