Who between Oghren, Sigrun and Varric would be victoriuos? I don't mean threesome fight, I mean who do you think is the most effective on battlefield? In other words, who is the best?FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 20:00, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

That's like asking which is tastier, apples or oranges. Each character is completely different in their abilities, filling in different roles. Oghren is a line combat character, he gets into the thick of things, making use of his anger to do extra damage and taking on groups. Sigrun, while technically a combat character, is still fragile compared to Oghren, she's supposed to skirt around combat and taking out single targets. Then you have Varric, and if he's in hand to hand, then you're using him wrong. The guy is supposed to be back sniping enemies or tying them down with his crossbow. So its pointless asking which one is the best, because they all have different roles. If you really want to ask what character was better, stick with the disciplines, like Sten, Oghren and Fenris, or Leliana, Nathaniel or Varric. --Madasamadthing (talk) 20:19, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

Exactly, but it still boils to down to how they are used (presuming you don't respec Oghren or Sigrun in Awakening). Each character is wildly different that you can't decide which one is better. I typically run a 2 Warrior/1 Rogue/1 Mage party and if I play Awakening, chances are, Oghren is going to be one of my warriors, especially if I use a Human Noble Warrior or a City Elf Rogue, he can be a pretty effective tank when needs be. But if I play a mage or another rogue, I might take Sigrun for the extra quick damage she can dish out. Conversely, if I play DA2, Varric is an auto-include for any Hawke (that said I usually never use Anders, Fenris or Merrill, too annoying, so I'm limited in who I can use).--Madasamadthing (talk) 16:07, June 14, 2013 (UTC)

Personally I love Oghren, this guy is amazing, and was one of my favourite companions in Dragon age, but I also liked Varric, and loved his character going against the stereotype of the traditional dwarf. As for Sigrun, I dont have strong feelings for her. But it's hard to say between oghren and Varri ---Lazare326 (talk)>

I also like Varric as a stereotype breaker. However my favorite dwarven charatcer is Sigrun, because she has interesting and complex background and an interesting sense of humor.FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 10:00, February 2, 2014 (UTC)
