Would people please share their opinions on Aveline with me because I think she seems really boring, not just a bit dull but just downright boring. Like Sten but without the serious humour. Am I alone in this opinion? King of the Dusters (talk) 16:35, February 23, 2011 (UTC)
Oh wow, maybe because I saw a demo vid where she was the last party member alive and she killed the ogre single handedly, or tackling a hurlock and punchhing it before decapitating it, but shes pretty badass. I think she will grow as the game progresses and as her relationships with the other characters develope. We know her and Isabela will likely be at odds from the dialoge when you ask Isabela about the slaves for example.--Tedder12 (talk) 17:13, February 23, 2011 (UTC)

I like Aveline so far and am bummed that she’s not a love interest for a male Hawke. Her back story is interesting and she kicks butt. People have been asking for a female tank for a while now, and I’m happy with the result. I think that as we get to know her and her character develops she will be a great ally or rival. - One, since when was Merril a Blood Mage (apostate yes but not Blood Mage, confirmed anyway.) Two, her Husband dies any on in the game. I doubt that she be the flirty mood. Anyway, I agree with King of the Dusters. She does seem to be a bit dull, but that could be due to the fact that her husband has just died, possibly by her hand. And there's no denying she's an excellent tank. In the two playthroughs I've done, one as a mage, one as a rogue, she's always been the last one standing against the Ogre that kills Bethany/Carver. I was skeptical of Aveline at first, I'm not sure why though. But after playing the demo my opinion has changed. True she didn't have a large role in the demo but she seemed like a pretty solid character and I think she'll make for some interesting devlopment. I know a lot of people made a big deal about her being "mannish" and what not, but... after seeing her in the demo I think there is something attractive about her. Of course, I'm still going after Merrill, even more so when I learned Eve Myles is Merrill's VA. (DDragonfly1990 (talk) 23:03, February 24, 2011 (UTC))
