I must agree that I don't like what the have done with Isabella since Origins, but she is the best so far, is Merril (I think thats her nam) a possible companion cause she is not bad. I think Bethany looks pretty, thought I know she will change based on the main Hawke, she is however not the most obvious romance choice(Lesbians and sisters that would be different). Isabella also looks pretty and I don't care that she looks different in DAO. Bethany and Isabella could be my replacements for Morrigan and Leliana. They are not an upgrade over Morrigan, or Leliana (depending on where she is standing, lighting etc. She was a two face in game IMO but ridiculously cute/sexy in the trailer) that's for sure. Isabella, given we know she's kind of a freak already will probably merit an initial go, she looks okay. She's supposed to be the holy crap, look at her! girl, but she has nothing on Morrigan and the witch's outfit, which contributed greatly to her...um...appeal. Sadly, it seems Bethany is the hottest. Not going there. The elf is a MAJOR disappointment based on the picture. She looks 12, maybe. The other one, Aveline, no. You need a crocodile dundee check on her first. The graphics overall may be an upgrade, so I've heard, but the characters don't seem to be much of one really. So far. It's early. The game itself could change this. We'll see. - While I generally agree with the anti-incest stance, I think it's a little presumptuous of the devs to take such a hard lined attitude when in Origins, a dwarf commoner could express interest in his sister(didn't go anywere, granted), they had a pair of twins(again, dwarves) who they all but out and out said were in an incestuous relationship, and you know what, maybe their policy is "it's ok if its dwarves which is why you can't play as a dwarf this time around."

Look around ostagar and many female warriors in Dao, They have cute faces and even makeup... haha!. In my opinion Merril is cute and I didn't knew she was a potential lover when I started the topic...but as you say she is the best so far. You forgot Mama Hawke. Even she's got a little too much. I wouldn't say that this is exclusively the case for DA 2, though, because Leliana, Morrigan, even Wynne, had quite the bust. Well, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. And I personally behold beauty in my eyes ;) I think Isabela is quite beautiful. I love her dark skinned exotic look, nice contrast to the paleness of previous women in the game. Merrill is very cute, but so far from what I have seen, she looks a little too young. I hope I am proven wrong. Cassandra(sp?) has a gorgeous pair of smokey eyes. Aveline reminds me of a lioness for some reason. And the main pre-set for FemHawke is HOT! By the looks of it, most of the guys around here are pervs. Lol. I've played the demo sooo many times already and I didn't noticed Bethany's breasts in Varric's exagerated story. I may have to play it again and instead of actually fight, I'm going to be very close to Bethany to see it.
Isabela's breasts on the other hand, were very noticeable but only because it was presented in a cutscene where Isabela covers most of the screen.
About female characters in DA2, my favourite must be Isabela. To me she was not interesting or pretty at all in DA:O. Aveline looked, at least in the demo, to be a very boring character. I do agree that she looks like a man sometimes. Probably because she's carrying a huge shield while my Male Hawke Tank had a small shield? Merrill, I don't really know because we can't see much of her in the demo, but then again, she's an Elf while our PC is a Human character. Not very appealing to me.

Whoever is fussing about this is SO wrong. You guys sound about as bad as this friend of mine (who later came out of the closet). The truth of the matter is I think the only 2 romance options are fine. You get 2 different types of a woman, which most men tend to fall under preffering one or the other. The reason why some of you guys don't care for Isabela is because either she's too trashy or either because she's too much woman for some of you guys. Which in my opinion that is fine. I find her VERY attractive because: she has beautiful eyes, she's funny, tough, she's raunchy, crazy, tan, and she's got a great ass! Gah! I noticed it in the demo and i was like "hello!" I've always been more of a boob guy...but this is one of the my few exceptions to that rule. So in conclusion some of you guys should be satisfied with Merril since she's the cute and smaller type. Anyways, yeah. Sexual orientation of the romance options has not been confirmed. We can only guess. My guess is that Isabela will be the bisexual female and Merrill will be the straight option. I figure Isabela will be bi due to her behavior in Origins and they way she gave a rather suggesting offer to my FemHawke in the demo. I don't have any reasoning for Merrill being straight, just have a feeling. And you know ... I really have no clue whether the bisexual male option will be Anders or Fenris. I agree I think they all look good, I dont really see why people like Bethany so much, Im not saying she's ugly I just dont see what would make her that much more attractive to people over the other characters. I like that Isabela has dark skin, Morrigan was pretty but pale as snow. I personally like Aveline the best from what I've seen, I believe people are apprehensive because she has a more rigid (not ugly) look to her face and muscular arms.
