I'd be an equal rights advocate for the city elves, probably. I'd also have some fancy swords, handy for spanking racists and slavers alike. I'm sure there'd be plenty of people trying to kill me D: I hate money, so this would all be out of the kindness of my heart. Because it would be the right thing to do.[[User:Marleysauce|Marleysauce]] ([[User talk:Marleysauce|talk]]) 14:36, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

If we all could be in the world of DA what would you be? What race would you be? Would be a dwarven paragon, circle mage, templar, dalish elf, a assassin from antiva, etc. Would you be living in the Free Marches, Ferelden, Antiva, Orlais, etc. Emmalee (talk) 19:33, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

I would be either a Grey Warden or a human soldier defending one of the Bannorns. Probably the Couslands. I would live in Fereldan because there are too many assassins in Antiva and Orlais. I might also want to be a dwarf in The Legion of the Dead. Wouldn't be an elf because of the way they are treated, but mainly because of the ears. I also wouldn't be a mage because they can be possessed by demons.--129.44.180.121 (talk) 13:47, September 29, 2011 (UTC)Bepease22

Human apostate living, likely, somewhere on the Waking Sea coast... most likely in Cumberland, or maybe on Brandel's Reach. Somewhere difficult for Templars to hunt me if I slipped up and revealed my magic to someone I didn't trust... or failed to kill with a lightning bolt because he was being a fool. I wouldn't practice Blood Magic, because while not inherently evil it has a propensity to change people... their outlook, their morality, everything they may have stood for once upon a time. I may even do occasional work with smugglers (though not of lyrium or flesh). I'd probably write history books otherwise, since there's so much of it in Thedas that people probably tend to forget due to such harsh events like the Blights.

I'd be a Male Dalish elf Warrior in Nevarra, living with the Clan and protecting it. Tales Mahariel (talk) 19:50, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

The dwarf paragon who created guns, being a living God would be quite nice I think luke1608 (talk) 21:00, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

I'd like to tell you that I'd be a great warrior, single-handedly saving villages from demons and darkspawn, with women throwing themselves at my feet in adoration...but, honestly, I'd be a frowning Circle mage who walks around correcting everyone's grammar. And secretly pining for a gorgeous, red-haired templar who could never quite remember my name. In Starkhaven. HELO (talk) 20:21, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

I'd probably be a Rivaini "merchant" or a Chasind Scout. Uthenera, Interrupted (talk) 20:31, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

I'm human, so far as I know. Odds are that I'd be born a commoner and live in a Denerim suburb. Futonrevoltion (talk) 20:56, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

I would be a Human Circle mage who, to the dismay of many of my colleagues and wary templar watchers, would specialize in sword fighting techniques passed down by my grandfather, father, and aunt, and would teach my pupils to do the same; to be able to wield a greatsword and cleave through enemies, to mount a shield to protect the innocent, or to wield dual wielding swords, for finesse and flexibility when on the battlefield (with this one being my preference and having both blades customarily made to be mounted on my arms). Eventually, my views of allowing other mages the means to defend themselves properly against none-mage attackers would bring me scorn from the Chantry's more "extremest-minded" templars and their superiors, claiming that when I meant "non-mage attackers", I actually meant "perusing templars" if a properly skilled mage were to escape the tower. This in turn would force me to leave my homeland of Nevarra and become an apostate, teaching other apostates I came cross in my travels a small fraction of my knowledge, hoping it would help them the same. For a time, I take refuge in Tevienter (knowing fully well that the Chantry's attack dogs wouldn't dare pursue me there), taking full advantage of the magisters vast knowledge of blood magic in order to improve both my healing talents and my very own blood magic, preferring to rely on my own blood to heal the injured, rather than depend on the life force of innocents and allies alike, or on the lyrium that, during many times while on the run, I couldn't afford or obtain without tipping someone off to my affiliation with it. In time, I develop my own unique spell tree of the Healing arts that relied on the casters own life force to heal their patients wounds or, if injured on the battlefield, to use their very own spilled blood to heal their own as well as their allies, without risking their lives in the process, thus slowly spreading the word of a form of Blood magic that is beneficial beyond the caster own life, despite the Chantry's propaganda. Eventually, the Chantry in Val-Royoux begin to fear how quickly the popularity of this form of Blood magic is spreading, especially amongst a vast majority of apostates reportedly encountered in the last decade. But by the time the Chantry decides to finally take action against me, the templar-mage war has begun, and I have already left Tevienter to become a Lieutenant of the mage army, alongside the Champion of Kirkwall himself, as well as his mage lover, teaching them and their allies the fighting skills and Blood healing techniques the templars so follishly disregarded so man years ago. Qunari Warrior. What rank, position etc. is up to the Qun.Noctarius (talk) 23:04, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

I would probably be a claymore (infused with lyrium, fire and silverite) weilding Fereldan (from highever, not a cousland but maybe a knight or something) warden that also has templar training (more so than alistair).

Or I could just be a Orleasian trained well with a bow fighting with the empresses army.--SirXblade (talk) 23:32, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

Either in Rivaini or Orlais, a city elf probably, knowing my luck, but one that has escaped the city. I'd be a mage most likely but I'd prefer to be a rogue, archer perhaps. Xelestial (talk) 00:32, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

I would be a Tevinter mage and apprentice to my father who is one of the most influential Magister's of the Imperium. I would be the next head of my families clan picked over my older brother because our father declared his magic weaker in comparison to mine. However, I would treat slaves with kindness instead of distain. I would eventually assume power over the Tevinter Imperium by becoming the new Archon and rewrite some of it's laws such as freeing the slaves and making blood magic an art only to be practiced by the Noble Families and high ranking magister's of the Imperium...but I might get assassinated for doing so.--GrimsleyHawke (talk) 00:50, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

My question for you, will you be using blood magic? Because most Tevinter mages I've heard of did know blood magic and a slave-friendly Tevinter mage? I've heard it all. I like the idea, sounds crazily good. DawnOfTheNewDay (talk) 05:24, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
I indeed would be a blood mage. I find blood magic to be a useful thing as a matter of fact. However I do find that it is something that must be controlled and treated with the upmost caution--GrimsleyHawke (talk) 19:28, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

I like to think I would be the first in dalish clan somewhere. Either that or a dirty unshaven hedge mage in the forest neck deep in unconventional magickery. Tommyspa (talk) 00:54, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

I would be a Tevinter Magistar. I would study the ways and find a solution to reverse demonic possession without having to simply behead the victim. That way my yummy Anders (and anyone else for that matter) could be be free of Justice/Vengence and return to his normal funny self. I would also study ways to be able to reverse being made tranquil. Also I would show people that not all blood mages are bad. I would use my own blood magic for good reasons and not bad ones. My own blood would be used to heal the wounded and sick. Like one of the posts above me I to would treat the slaves with kindess instead os distain. When I would finally hear about the mage/templar war I would travel to Orlais(or wherever it takes place) and be more then happy to help bring down the chantry. Emmalee (talk) 01:09, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

I'd just like to be Dalish.. Maybe eventually leave the clan and go wander on my own. HomelyDrugAddict (talk) 01:16, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

I would be a mage in the Circle, with legendary Primal Magic and okay Creation Magic. I would HATE the Circle and being trapped there and one day escape and become an apostate. Dragonage17101996 (talk) 01:42, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

I would be nothing, seeing as I'd spend all my time trying to find the fourth wall. --CommanderCousland (talk) 01:51, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

I would be an outcast Warrior Dalish Elf who kicks ass with my supreme Berserker specialty and pwns with my mighty 2-handed sword passed down from generations of our clan . I left the clan so that I can find a way to plea to the King about the never-ending fights for land with the humans. Along the way I would then slay tons of dumbass humans that think of me as a slave(because of the thin body mass of elves). Then they would prosecute me for my acts. This would be my instant ticket to meet with the King. Then they would just probably kill me in front of the King. (Or not because of the fact that I am strong enough to slay that much.)--Poohcness (talk) 02:06, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

I'd be a surface dwarf engineer. I like the dwarves, and there's good business to be done bringing that shoddy human construction up to dwarven spec. There might be some fun to be had in demolition, too, especially if I could get my hands on the qunari lyrium-free explosives recipe. Diyartifact (talk) 03:06, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Realistically I'd imagine myself as a middle class human. If my life in Thedas mirrored my life in the real world I'd essentially be an apprentice artist, currently learning the trade as to hopefully one day be living a comfortable, fairly care free life.

In the sense of what we really wish our DA life would be like, I'd like to say I'd be something along the lines of a human living in Ferelden, perhaps Highever or a small settlement outside of a main city. I'd have grown up to want to be able to defend myself, my family, my friends and my town from the dangers the world presents in living in such a time. I'd try to further my education for the purpose of broadening my knowledge as I'd be very interesting in things like magic and the history of the land. I'd throw in some art on the side as I don't see why I wouldn't be interested in that living in another world. Of course, I'd grow into a budding young warrior, wielding two longswords, dark armour, and to anyone who knows me, is as swift with a blade as I am with my feet, you know, as you do. I'd be the sort of dude who would help a person out if they need it and would like to think I'm made up of strong moral fiber. I think being an adventurer would be cool in a place like Ferelden, or even traveling abroad and seeing different countries. S13Kuro (talk) 03:41, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Hm I'd be a human apostate/smuggler out of Ravaini. I'd take just about any job (no slave running though...I DO have a small sliver of conscience:)). Slavers and Templars would be wise to avoid meDevilkat (talk) 04:45, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

For me I'd be a human mage (Surprise.) but I wouldn't use my powers enough to known as one, so I'd be a apostate but a weak one (Only having minor Creation and Arcane spells.) My parents themselves wouldn't know of my powers, because of my fear of being sent to the Circle. I'd be living in Ferelden but traveling constantly, making sure I try not to get involved with anyone. I would be trying to find a place where I can go and train in my skills and not worry of being caught by the templars.

BECAUSE MAGES NEVER HAVE IT EASY.

Oh and I'd be looking for my one true luv. lol Because I'm a girl and I demand romance in my stories/games. (Does this question make anyone feel like rping? Or is it just me? I haven't roleplayed in a year.) DawnOfTheNewDay (talk) 05:17, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

I would be a hot dog salesman during Orzammar provings. Uh, I mean "Hot Nug" Salesman. Crimpycracker (talk) 05:52, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Not the cute nugs! D: DawnOfTheNewDay (talk) 05:55, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Hmm I would probably want to be a elven mage, probably dalish and trained as an apprentice but left(or clan got killed off or something). I then would wonder the wilderness west of Rivain and forest of Arlathan as an adventurer in search of ancient elven treasures...which I would then pawn off back in civilization and drown myself in the profits in local taverns. Would probably dabble is blood magic just for the added power in order to survive out alone, but only ever go as far as the player character in the game can go(just controlling blood no dealing with demons).

Or maybe as a human, a member of a radical Nevaran nationalist group who hunts down Orlesians bastards with their french ascents, and I suppose any Tevinters and their slaving ways. We would not be content with the temporary ceasefire and looking to finish the war and take back lost land, but mostly just to kill annoying Orlesians. Tieing it back into the game though, the group would hate the two chantries(in Orlais and Tevinter) and instead be fiercely loyal to the Nevarran derivative of the religion(though I personally would not be very religious anyways), we would particularly hate Casandra Pentaghast who was a Neveran noble but is now working directly for the Orlesian chantry and consider her a traitor. We would try and hunt her down and bring her to justice.174.45.9.40 (talk) 06:16, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

I'd be King of Ferelden... or Antiva or something--Calle Cousland (talk) 07:06, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Don't be King of Antiva. More people want to assassinate you. Legionnaire Scout *talk* 20:19, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

I'd be a Kossith, let my horns grow, follow some ways of the qun, but I would not be a Qunari. I'd just live my life in the wilderness, helping travellers, and hopefully become known as the forest giant, with many myths and legends. I wouldn't show mercy to any who attacked, and I'd kill any suspicious mages(Overly strange ones, not ones just trying to hide their abilities).

I would always protect passing Dalish Clans and running apostates, unless I met the Templars first. If the mage or templar was seemily a terrible person, I'd fuck them up, and either allow the mage to run or hand the mage over, depending. I would not judge people, just some I would not be allowed to let live.

I would make enemies, but if I knew all I did now and what I would most certainly learn in the DA world, I would not die in combat to people wishing vengence, templars justifying attacking me, or other pathetic souls attempting to kill me.

Eventually I'd travel to the deep roads, unless recruited by the wardens, and allow death to take it's place.

Sorry for spelling.--Only the faithless wil perish, but those without cannot be punished. (talk) 07:18, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

I would be an arcane worrior elven mage who was taken from my dalish clan when I was a child. I was always an outsider in the Kirkwall chantry for a while, all because of my elvish backround. One of the templars had been mentoring me for years in the arts of using sword and sheild and also duel-weiding weapons. One night I find him dead because one of the other templars (Ser Alrik) ha found out about him teaching a mage. I felt depressed for a long time and one night I found myself on the top of the tower, about to jump when a human mage talks me out of it. This turns out to be Bethany Hawke, sister of the mighty champion of Kirkwall. We immediantlly fall in love. On the night of the second battle of Kirkwall, I saved the champion from a group of 12 blood mages and 6 possessed templars. He thanked me and I helped him in the final battle against Meredith. After the battle I helped the living mages to escape and I fled Kirkwall with the champion, along with his party and Bethany. We assist any mages we see by telling them to seek refuge in tevinter where a group of mages who dont want to fight in the war are based. Now I travel with the champion and his company, helping him in his quest to seek peace.... It's extremely corny and a little sad I know.--Jordan Cousland (talk) 08:37, September 8, 2011 (UTC)Jordan Cousland

I would like to be a human soldier that is either or aspirering to be a grey warden. --Badoosh (talk) 09:28, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

I would be an Apostate Arcane Warrior hiding in plain sight as a Mercenary in Kirkwall, and silently laughing at the Mages who have no idea about Combat Magic. Losers. Vikingdragons (talk) 11:50, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

I would be a powerful Tevinter Magister, I would find a way to become the Archon. I would abolish the Chantry, and restore the Temples of the Old Gods. I would then consolidate our power, slaves who choose to enlist in the Legions would be given their freedom, and pensions provied to their families, thus restoring a great portion of our military might. I would unleash the full force of our might and finally wipe the Qunari out. Then I would turn my gaze south to reconquering the rest of Thedas, and restoring our glorious Imperium.Lord Saren101 (talk) 12:18, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

A human traveling merchant that grew up and usually lives in Redcliffe, waiting for that cute little boy that lived in the castle, before getting shipped away, to come back home. I’d like to say that I’d be some epic person bitch-slapping darkspawn into oblivion with my hair, but, that’s not realistic for me. Mrs.AlistairTheirin 15:38, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

If I could be anything I would be a bounty hunter, obviously I'd be trained as a rogue using a mix of dual weilding and archery, however If at all possible I would always use non-lethal methods to capture my targets and bring them in alive. I would travel all over Thedas (mostly sticking to the south though) taking whatever jobs I could find, although I would never work with slavers. Violet Rogue (talk) 16:31, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

My name is Adam Jensen, I used to be a human until...POW! CRASH! BANG!!

When you're an Aug, you've got everything. Cash, credit, job history. You're never stuck in whatever city they decide to start you in ("Detroit!"). You do whatever work comes your way, you don't rely on anyone who's still talking to you: no hot researcher ex-girlfriend ("David's waiting, Adam. We shouldn't keep him."), an old friend who is deep under cover as a hooker ("Man, I wish I could go with the good old 'you haven't changed at all' bit but, that'd be complete and utter bullshit, right?"), but you're adopted so family's not an option to cry in front of when your boss is being a major prick ("I thought you were ready, Adam!")

Bottom line: as long as you're an Aug, you can do whatever you want. Quirkynature (talk) 16:57, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

On WarPaint's recommendation, I'm trying the game on a friend's PC. It...looks short, but not too bad. From what I gather, there's about 15 chapters and speeding through 7 takes about 3 hours. That's where I stopped, and will probably wait for a price drop before buying. Or wait for a trilogy edition or something. I'll wait, is my point.
As for Burn Notice, yes, I do watch. Why? Quirkynature (talk) 03:09, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

I would be a City Elf Ranger in Orlais that when a Chevalier tried to rape my sister I called a Spider to attack him almost killing him. After seeing that he would come back to execute us, we escaped in the same night. After lots of hours wandering in the forest we encountered a Dalish Clã.They Invited us to stay with them, only my sister accepted.I continued wandering until seeing that I was in Antiva. There I started a Clã of Rangers, that soon become very popular.I assumed that soon there will be a war against the Antivans Crows for the control of Antiva....--Gladiatuss (talk) 17:00, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Regardless of who I'd be, I'd quickly wind up dead. ;) Possibly. Still, the world of Dragon Age is not exactly hospitable.

Magic is the obvious choice, at least for me. But it's not an exclusive favourite. If a mage, Circle or no, I'd try to learn how to heal as well as some defensive magic, because I'm comparatively cautious. Afterwards, or even at the same time, I'd try to find new and exciting ways of setting things on fire and applying excessive amounts of force, preferrably at the same time.

If Circle, I'd just climb the rank ladder, considering the lack of options, but the idea of templars always at my back is not a good one for me, and it wouldn't be for mage!me either. It wouldn't take much, or possibly any, persuasion to get me onto the mage side of the war.

If apostate, then I'd just try to get by and not get killed or caught. Same magical guidelines apply.

And balls to blood magic in either case. Not only is it obviously not good, it's also against my caution, since it and healing don't go together well. Demon summoning goes there as well. I don't know whether I'd be thinking along the same lines about blood magic if cornered, but demons are no-no. Death is preferrable to posession.

If nonmagical, I'd likely be a traveler of some sort. If lacking in combat-oriented areas, I'd end up as a Chantry scholar, not unlike ol' Genitivi. If capable enough in battle, then I'd be an archer. Best to kill things before they get close, especially things common in Dragon Age such as giant spiders. Some skill with melee weaponry is a must, of course, but archery is the way of choice.

Grey Wardens are not exactly the best occupation, but considering the lack of knowledge about the Joining and especially the Calling, I might've gone for it, unless I'd have found an occupation that utilises my skills and doesn't involve me being cannon fodder the Warden-Commander of Ferelden and Hawke is so good at disposing of. 188.123.248.168 (talk) 17:26, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Human apostate blood-mage hunter, living wherever the wind takes me. I would be a drifter... travelling to many countries and slaying blood-mages wherever I went. I would not be merciless and if the mage sought to redeem him/herself I would allow it. Always taking odd jobs and being short on money, being drunk or broke half the time. But enjoying my time and travels. A sort of magical problem-solver in other words.Gaiden96 (talk) 18:28, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

During the rediscovery of the Griffons at Gamordan Peaks, In a last attempt to end the Blight, I and a small battalion of Wardens flew on our Griffon mounts and faced the Archdemon Razikale. All but myself fell to the flames of the beast, but at a last resort I jumped from my Griffon mount when I got close enough, bridging the space towards the Archdemon and thrusted my silverite sword into its heart. I died instantly while Razikale tumbled out of the sky and died of his wound, right in the middle of Antiva City where it crashed.--FirstGreyWarden (talk) 11:13, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

I would be an entity of a rare stupidity and of a mediocrity way beyond your puny understanding, known to men as the Troll. Like 2 millions others darkspawns, I'm the younger brother of the Architect (don't ask, got out of the cloaca first.Oops). I do not seek to rule my brethren, I merely troll them.

After I assured my brother that it was totally okay to screw around with blood and a sleeping old god, he asked me to find a peaceful approach with the Grey Wardens. I suggested slaughtering their new hold as a proof of affection.

I then made my way to the surface and convinced L'impératrice d'Orlais to reconsider the borders of her nation. Orlais then proceeded to a massive invasion of Ferelden, Nevarra, the Free Marches and the Anderfels.

I also presented myself to the head of the Chantry and told them the dwarves were totally the ones that really killed Andraste, thus giving birth to a new Exalted March. Then I went to the Ariqun and told her that Isabella wiped herself with the Book of Koslun. They then took hold of Rivain. And Antiva, for the lulTHE QUN!

I trolled so much, I became the big bad of a Dragon Age game. But I heard too late that I should live in a huge and impratical dungeon, find a menacing dragon and needlessly try to slaughter them, so when the good guys showed up, I was living in a little garden house, that I painted in a lovely pink hue . I then invited them to a tea party, when the hero (strangely enough, I can't remember their gender or race) coughed at me, causing my untimely demise. --Appleseater (talk) 16:31, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

But looking at it realistically, I'd probably be a shaper's assistant forced to categorize/search for stuff in the memories, like the average consistency of nug poop or how the third deshyr of House Vollney got boils all over his body after bathing too long in a tub filled with dwarven ale. Or something. Matt-256 (talk) 12:08, September 17, 2011 (UTC)

I would be a human apostate hiding from the circle of magi , I would be hiding in Orzammar where Dagna (The magic obsessed dwarf girl) has created her own circle of magi (at least she did in my playthrough), I came to Orzammar to seek refuge from the templars as a boy of 16 years and has lived there since. Together with other mages who hace taken refuge in Orzamar I practice my magic without surveillance of the templars. After my years in Orzammar my hatred for the templars have decreased even though it will never completely leave me after seeing them cut down my older brother for trying to keep them from taking me to the circle. In Orzammar I am free, I fight with the dwarves in the deep roads, drink with them at tapsters tavern and after a time of suspicion and distrust I have become a part of ther society, a dwarf in all but blood. Templars know of the existance of free mages in Orzammar and will stop at nothing to regain their control over uss. The dwarves in Orzammar are my friends, many would rather die than handing over me or my fellow apostates, in an environment where those around me are little efected by my powers I have gained things I thought I could never have, a family, friends and love. I do not know what the future holds, the templars have no control over Orzammar, maybe I will be left alone here forever, maybe they will attack Orzammar and I will fall in its defence, maybe I, my fellow apostates and the dwarves I have come to love will flee into the deep roads to never be seen again, one thing is sure though, I will never surender to the templars, even if it costs me my life.

I would be a human arcane warrior. I would be descended, at least in part, to the elves that lived in the Brecillian Forest, but I would be mostly human. Due to my being descended from the ancient elves, my family tends to live longer than normal humans, my grandfather lived to be over two hundred years old! Also, something unique to my family line is that we have the genetic memory of our ancestors. This was caused by my elven ancestor working a powerful spell into the blood of his children so the skills of a true arcane warrior will never be forgotten. But as my bloodline became more and more human, the space of time between arcane warrior generations has grown. But over the generations, the arcane warriors have learned and developed new techniques including a “flame wave,” a freezing touch, a lightning blast, and an earth spike attack. My character would be a mercenary who travels Thedas, hunting down criminals of all shapes and sizes, from murderers and assassins to corrupt government officials and bandit camps. He uses a fighting technique that allows him to use his magic to let him have permanent access to dual-wielding two handed weapons without draining his mana. The technique also allows him to use powerful magical spells without needing to charge as long. He was also present for in many important events, including the Battle at Ostagar, Battle of Denerim, and the second Qunari invasion of Kirkwall.TheSavage (talk) 18:36, September 17, 2011 (UTC)

I's be an apprentice to the Black Divine. I was forever changed when my master handed me a staff that was infused with the blood and essence of the Old God Zazikel (God of Chaos). When I used the staff for the first time it shatterd and the Old God's essence possesed me. Now I remember everything the Old God once lived (I'm about 10000 years old due to the Old God). I fleed from my Master, by order of the Old God's essence. This was when I was 7 years old. After 10 years, I am living in Nevarra and working as a mercenary so that I can have money. My "joining" with the Old God has handed me great skills but my Magic revolvs around Blood Magic, I control it and I kill my opponents with they'r own blood, (frezzing it or something else). The Chantry has no idea that I'm a mage because I also know how to weild two swords at the same time (thought by the Old God and everything he once saw) my body is thus immortal and any wound is healed in a matter of seconds (decapitation is included). In some occasions the Old God takes control of my body changing it's appearence, killing and fedding on the essence of whomever passes on his way. Now that the war has begun I trveled to Orlais so that I can rip of the Devine's head and bring the Chantry it's knees, so that peopple start worshiping the Old Gods again. I am this way very, very powerfull. --AndrewDMC94 (talk) 22:24, September 17, 2011 (UTC)

I would be the bastard son of an Orlesian noble. Born to an apostate city elf, who was working at the castle. Being a bastard and an outcast in my mother's alienage, I used most of my time developing my magical talents, which I inherited from my mother, and reading books about great adventurers my mother would sneak out of my father's manor. After turning 18 I would eventually travel the world trying to be a successful adventurer like from the books with little success. Eventually settling in a little hamlet outside of Dragon's Peak, becoming the town's doctor. I would first knock out my patients with a little sleeping spell before performing my "miracles" in case you were wondering. But eventually I was rooted out of town after some Templars came. Luckily I was under an alias in case of something like this. I would then return to my place of birth where I would then start making friends in high places and with the common folk. After rallying enough support I would then make a coup for my father's position so that me and my elderly mother can live a leisurely life trying to conceal our magical talent.--71.60.250.94 (talk) 06:26, September 18, 2011 (UTC)

We'd ALL be humans, with no skills in fighting or whatnot, no one would be a noble or a warden. We'd all be plain ordinary Joe's. End of. -- IJordon (talk) 10:28, September 18, 2011 (UTC)

No, you didn't realise my awesome fighting skills. And that I'm obviously a Qunari. Elves on the other hand are the most inferior creatures alive.Noctarius (talk) 18:29, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
I also didn't realise your 30 years old living with your mother. ;) -- IJordon (talk) 20:26, September 18, 2011 (UTC)
You also didn't realise that this is somewhat of a joke topic, and you obviously feel insulted enough to come up with stupid nerd-clichees instead of arguing on even ground. Whoever cares...Noctarius (talk) 14:53, September 19, 2011 (UTC)
No sir. I do realise this is a joke topic, I'm not a moron. Also, you obviously care, otherwise you wouldn't have began this pointless little debate between the two of us. -- IJordon (talk) 17:49, September 19, 2011 (UTC)
I've simply grown fond of this stupid litte discussion, as it is nearly as pointless as if I'd really care enough to try and convince you of my social status, but I'm just too amused by the fact you believe me to be some nerd living in his mothers basement.Noctarius (talk) 19:02, September 19, 2011 (UTC)
Basement? Who said anything about a basement? See, you obviously care abit more than you're letting on, as you've dived deeper into my "stupid nerd clichees" & the fact your still going on about this also doesn't help your "I don't care" bravado. -- IJordon (talk) 21:40, September 19, 2011 (UTC)
You obviously didn't realise what I wrote earlier. I'm just too amused by the stupidness this discussion has evolved into. The fact I'm still posting here has nothing to do with me caring at all about whatever you might think I care about.Noctarius (talk) 05:32, September 20, 2011 (UTC)

I would be the AWESOME, THE BEST OF ALL, ALMIGHTY, ONLY ONE, cute nug. I'm called Schmooples and no woman can resist me. In nighttime, I stalk Leliana and rub myself on her. She wants to warm me between her tights... Warden can romance her, but I OWN HER!!!BWAHAHAHAHAHA--PureSlayer (talk) 12:27, September 18, 2011 (UTC)

I would be a dwarven legionnaire, trying to reclaim the lost thaigs along with Kardol and the Legion of the Dead.

Alex Aeducan (talk) 22:47, September 18, 2011 (UTC)

I'd be some human. Educated in some academics, and a lot of fighting (somewhat proper, yet knowledgeable in a lot of effective, dirty tricks.) I'd probably be some trader/ merchant, or possibly a Templar. What's important is that I live long because of street smarts, a good physique, and a lot of connections. ;)

This is really a duel question you see.

  • Under the proposition that we were in Thedas the question can be understood:
  • 1) either as what we would be if all basic property of our personality and abilities remained the same
  • 2) or what we would want to be if we could design our own destiny.

Sure it would be possible to consider yourself a Qunari, if you have a need for conformity and order and a general anti-liberal viewpoint of the world. That Qunari is over 2 meters tall and have horns are merely a physical property, you could already have a Qunari inside of you, even before you heard of the term, or a longing for the order promised by the Qun.

All that is very different from saying what you want to be. If that were the case I would properly like to be some kind of super powerful arcane-warrior-bloodmage with shadow rogue training able to kill a highdragon in single combat without any kind of potions or other enchanted items. I would use that complete awesomeness to subjugate first Tevinter, then the rest of Thedas under my command. I would of course be a human, as elves are pathetic and dwarfs are as stuck up as my father.
That version is of course completely different from what I would be if I actually had to use myself as reference and not just my fantasy. In that case I would most likely be a scholar; living in a relatively humble house in Val Royeaux, that would still be remarkably better then Gamlen’s shack in Kirkwall.
My whole life would be dedicated to studying the darkspawn, partly for the practical reason of finding out better ways to fight them, but primarily to find out the mystery of their true origin. Because my work would be dedicated to truth and not hindered by the dogma of the chantry, I would end up being driven away by the Chantry, I would seek shelter in Orzammar. Although I would know no magic, and wouldn’t know the first thing about holding a sword, I would still be welcomed due to my valuable knowledge, I would work closely with the mages, in the newly opened circle in Orzammar, and would in time be a vulnerable adviser to king Bhalan.
I would never find the truth about the origin of the darkspawn, nor would I ever marry or have children, but I would pick up “disciples” on the way, that after my premature death (I would die as a 59 year old after getting a nugbone stuck in my trout), would found a school that would draw scholars from all over Thedas to Orzammar.
A hundred years later Orzammar would have been transformed from a merely dwarven city to a true metropolis where people of all races would come to study, practice magic or merely live in peace, free from prosecutions.

In that time the dwarves would have taken back many old thaigs, and done al lot of other bla. bla. bla.

In short, I’m just as full of crap as the rest of you.-rphb- (talk) 16:03, September 19, 2011 (UTC)
Ugg I also hate when I get mutated rabbit bones in my fish, it must of sucked to pay all that money to have it imported underground and then have that happen though.
So we are going off our real selves as a reference then? Well I would probably still be a Nevarran based on my ancestry, probably still hate the Orlesians but my profession would likely be something like a city gaurdsman and were a war to break out involving Nevarra I would likely end up in much the same position as mentioned in my first post after my city is sacked and the guard is scattered...would surely get killed at some point, likely in the sacking.174.45.9.40 (talk) 06:18, September 20, 2011 (UTC)

Oh good question here...if i were to be in the world of DA i would've been Hawke's (Fem! Who had a crush at Fenris) COUSIN or Cousland's (Female who had a crush on Alistair) so i can kick but with them and play matchmaker!! and also i would be a Fem!Human Rougue specializing both stealth and assassination and would be living on Hawke's Mansion or Castle Denerim =D Ah! Dreams Come True!!

I would be Sandal's brother named Vandal risen from the dead. History would be that Sandal set his house on fire and left his brother ( me ) in it to die. That's why he doesn't speak normally. I would be someone similar to Kane from World Wrestling Entertainment, and one last thing I'm playing Dragon Age II I have all the dlc but can't find codex entry "Statue of Blessed Brother Joffrey of Ghislain", can someone tell me where can I find this codex entry and in which chapter?please:) [Sandaltaker] 07:44, September 20, 2011

There is a gap between what we'd want to be and what we actually would be . Most of us I suspect would not be made of awesome really - I suspect I'd be something quite similar to Dagna in reality - the problem what I'm quite bookish so I'd like to be a mage but looking to me and my family we're definatley dwarves - my dad started off life as a draftsman and became a CEO and has a natural instinct for buying and selling so I imagaine him as smith or merchant or possily a combination of both - he may well be living on the surface - I love to sing and read history books and tell storeis so I may well end up as dwarven minstral allowing me to indulge my love of good food, drink and company. My manual dex is pretty piss poor so I don't seem myself as a great hero - what I'd like would be the chance to as Anders put it sleep with pretty people , drink good beer and throw lightning bolts at fools but realistically I see only two really working out for me . In AD&D my mates reckoned I was a halfling bard (I did play one in Plainscape which was great fun and confirmed that opinion) but sadly not an option in the DA universe.

Ser Pedantic

I'd be a fricken fairy! No seriously, I would be a human noble, by the surname of Cousland, who is later betrayed, loses both his parents, and becomes one of very few Grey Wardens who combats an Apocalypse known as the Blight! Oh, and I have a demon baby with a witch named Morrigan, then defeat the Blight, become king, probably have loads of other children with a bunch of different women (Giggity ;)) and live happily ever after! :D Oh wait, no, the witch of the wilds that I had a kid with a couple years back wants some damn child support so I'm forced to get sucked into some mirror into another world where I have to take care of the damn thing, and wonder where the hell I am for another sequel or 2! :D Oh, I'm so original! ^_^ Danerogil (talk) 17:29, September 20, 2011 (UTC)

If you could actually play that, it would be THE MOST AWESOME GAME EVER!Noctarius (talk) 18:57, September 20, 2011 (UTC)
I know right? I wish they made a game about that :( We're still talking about fairies, right? Danerogil (talk) 08:43, September 22, 2011 (UTC)

I'd be a Surface Dwarf, bard, ranger, shadow, archery specialist (short bow, no crossbow). I'd have a Mabari as a mount, like He-Man's Battlecat! I'd dabble in alchemy (poisons, debilitating flask bombs, enhancement potions etc). I'd read a lot, wanting to know as much about magic and the fade as possible. Zambingo (talk) 19:19, September 20, 2011 (UTC)

I would be either: A Militia Man living in some small city, using my bow to keep bandits at bay, or if I want to go all Fantasy I would try to be a Grey Warden Arcane Warrior, shooting my lightning bolts at darkspawn, and hurling a few fireballs for good measure, my preferred weapon would be a Halberd! Zane56

I'd be a pirate of sorts. I'd wear a brown coat. Name my ship Serenity. Swear in Qunari. Travel throughout Thedas doing what needs to be done, don't much care what it is, so long as I get paid. LVTDUDE (talk) 01:36, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

Then I would be an accidental pirate of sorts! I'd be a scholar swallowed by a leviathan while swimming, and it would appear that leviathan is actually a living submarine with the motley crew of merry misfits and so we'll sail the seas sowing chaos and mayhem everywhere. Also, Morrigan gets swallowed along with me. Dorquemada (talk) 10:06, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

I would be a 2 handed warrior who hates the chantry because his mother gave about 90% of the family funds to them to become a divine dispite the fact that me and my dad worked day and night for it and my brother would be a very powerfull mage and we traval the world together as mercanaries (i hope i spelt that right) User:gameguy20100

I'd be a female Tevinter human but not a mage! I'd be trained at a young age, the skills fo combat. With the Qunari invasion I'd inducted into the Qunari race at a young-ish age because they saw potential and advantage in my learned fighting skills, thus becoming Qun. Id grow up with the Qun becoming a great respected warrior. If this was the case I kind of like to think that I was there in the events of DA2 with along side the Arishok but survived the ending battle of Act II and escaped back to...well I couldnt reveal that now could I? I'd have some relationship with Seamus (It just fits! Such a rebel I know.I started thinking of this story with a girl who'd be in that postition and thought it was neat.) AFreeMarcher (talk) 05:03, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

I would be a human apostate who wanders across Fereldan aiding fellow mages. I wouldn’t be a blood mage, and I wouldn’t hold Anders style hatred towards the templar’s. After an escape attempt gone wrong, I would flee Fereldan and head to the Free Marches, were I would encounter a Dalish clan, NOT Marethari’s clan, and after your typical Human-Elf tension/hatred bit, fall in love with and settle down with one of the clan. --GamerGuy27 (talk) 14:03, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

Archdemon lol

I would be a tevinter mage and i would obviously practice blood magic (it is far too useful specially against the chantry's templars) and demonology (risky but extremely useful because as a mage i need someone to fight in the front lines and i like to use others to do my work for me). I would be a researcher and acquire as much knowledge as possible about the world, i would travel to the fade and try to learn as much as possible about it by observing and asking questions to the spirits living there. My aims would be power (by manipulating and taking as much information as possible from demons), knowledge about the fade and find out what the so called black city truly is, is it arlathan as i think or something else. If i succeed then i would spread most of that knowledge to other mages and try to overthrow the chantry, if i fail it would be probably by the hands of a demon and therefore become an abomination (risky but worth it).

Or taking chance into consideration i would probably be the son of a commoner living in ignorance and poverty like most of the population of thedas, how depressing.--Hakuteiken (talk) 13:32, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

I'd be an equal rights advocate for the city elves, probably. I'd also have some fancy swords, handy for spanking racists and slavers alike. I'm sure there'd be plenty of people trying to kill me D: I hate money, so this would all be out of the kindness of my heart. Because it would be the right thing to do.Marleysauce (talk) 14:36, October 1, 2011 (UTC)
