I... I can't believe I actually did a forum like this! *random*
I was reading a while ago Alistair's trivia, and when I read the "When asked to compare a set list of NPC companions to food" part, I started imagining "What if the DA:O characters were animals?". I know, it's random...
I'm not good at this thing of comparing characters with an object or a person, so I'm making a forum with this. I always imagined Morrigan as a black panther and Sandal as a badger... A badass badger, but that's up to you

Oghren is nothing like any of the Pit Bull breeds.
Alistair - Labrador Retriever or Golden Retriever. Both friendly, goofy breeds that are easy to train.
Leliana - A cat. Silent on her feet and can easily blend in when she wants to be. Affectionate to those close to her, but if you wrong her she'll easily go into attack mode. (Andraste forgive me, but you, Morrigan, are a bitch.)
Morrigan - A raven. Intelligent and knows how to get what she wants.
Oghren - Neapolitan Mastiff. Powerful and fearless, Neapolitan Mastiffs were once bred by Romans to fight against lions, bears and other large wild animals in arenas, sort of like the warrior caste and the provings.
Sten - Couldn't really think of anything, his behaviour doesn't really match any animal. If anything I would say a male lion like somebody else suggested.
Wynne - Barn Owl. I don't really think it needs an explanation.
Zevran - Savannah Cat. Loyal, intelligent, and exotic.
I'm a huge animal lover and thought about this a few times and these are the animals I liked the most for these characters. - City Elf

- A qunari is a rhinoceros, a big emotionless creature that lives only to survive except when it's challenged, and has horns...which sten is a mutant having none like his fellow qunari.
- Oghren would be a baboon...no explanation should be needed
- Zevran a racoon
- Morrigan an alley cat
- Leliana a pet cat adopted off the street
- Shale a chia pet...especially with nature crystals.
- Howe a snake...how has no one said that yet?

Zevran - Cheetah (fast, deadly)
Sten - Bison (strong, stoic)
Leliana - Red squirrel (cute and lithe)
Oghren - Wild Boar (hairy, strong and unpredictable)
Wynne - Barn owl (wise and quiet)
Shale - Giant Tortoise (long lived and strong looking)
Secret Companion - Doberman (fierce, loyal, ready to fight)
Sandal - scruffy little dog (so damn adorable!)
Arl Eamon - German Shepherd (loyal and determined, but not bad)

Loghain - A big black mad horse(with Howe on it back both horse and howe kicks everyone in the head)
Anora - The pony
Alistair - Hamster(only small girls could like him)
Morrigan - Black mamb
Zevran - Leopard (looks cute, isn't top of the foot chaine, but still very dangourous)
Oghren - a fealthy boor with the mind of a Hyana(likes rotten food)
Leliana - Eagle(quick, silent, beatiful, but not entirely trustworthy) but sometime a eagle with the mind of a parrot, it/she talk to much
Sten - Slim elephant with the mind of a rhinoceros
Wynne - A poodle, a small angry beast wich thinks its more and bigger then it is
Shale - Less slim elephant

Arl Howe - A cooked diseased rat garnished with green poisonous mushrooms
Loghain - A peace of very hard dark choclate, icecold on the outside, but a small soft zyanid core inside
Anora - A peace of white choclate but soft and poisonous outside and hard icecold inside
Alistair - Very overcooked very salty ham, pretty boring
Morrigan - Blood sausage
Zevran - Creamechese with hidden thorns
Oghren - Decayed fish and chips with rodden banana, pretty nasty
Leliana - Boiling(not boiled) stone fish with one poisonous spine left very delicat, very special and very weird
Sten - Rugbrød med leverpostej, very exotic and always more appetizing when you eat it then before
Wynne - Roast, yorkshire pudding and thick burned caramel source it looks promising but pretty dissappointing
Shale - A jawbreaker served with chips

- Hamsters will cannibalize each other when stressed, I don't hamster would be the right small, fluffy animal for Alistair. I think you would like an English Angora Rabbit for him more. Google it and you'll understand why. - City Elf
