Absolutely not! Quick time events completely ruined Hitman Absolution for me; I won’t have it do the same for Dragon age. QTE is a gimmick that nobody really likes, the few exceptions might be in a game like Heavy Rain where the outcome of the event is affected by how well you did and could drastically change the story if you screw it up. However, this is the one and only type of game where I will accept QTE as a good game mechanic, Dragon age should absolutely not have QTE, bioware don’t fuck this game up by putting stupid little gimmicks into the game [[User:Blighter|Blighter]] ([[User talk:Blighter|talk]]) 13:57, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

I think cinematics of DA games would be more interesting and give more emotions, if QTE was added. I have no desire to know where would you put QTE in DAO, DAA or DA2, I simply wish to know how would you find them in future DA games? QTE in ME2 and ME3 were limited to 2 bottoms, I think in DA games should be more bottoms to QTE. So would you like to have QTE in future DA games?62.87.247.103 (talk) 11:52, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

Now that I have googled and discovered that a QTE is a "Quick Time Event", I can answer your question. No. They're a gimmick. They don't bring anything to the storytelling that can't be achieved through the normal DA dialogue mechanisms. The less things they port from ME to DA, the better. I wish they would get away from this whole stupid idea that because both games are by Bioware they should somehow bookend each other. The two games are distinct in genre and style and should be kept separate. No ME in my DA please. --Darkly Tranquil (talk) 12:58, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

I think they will bring them into Dragon Age III, I remember in DA2 Hawke can throw a knife to kill someone who had Feynriel hostage, I'd imagine that would be the situation it will likely be used in. It would certainly work, and I can see it happening. 109.158.100.72 (talk) 13:38, February 17, 2013 (UTC)
