This is just an idea I got as I was playing DA2 for the second time the other day. At the beginning of DA2 Flemeth says something along the lines of "great change is coming to the world". This probably refers to the mage rebellion against the templars and their future war but what if that's only partly true. I'm getting the feeling that the mage/templar war will be HUGE but i think the developers at Bioware have more world breaking events planned.

For instance it's said in the Epilogue in Awakening if you created an Orlesian Grey Warden that he/she is called back to Weishaupt due to rumors of a new Blight and in DA2 the Warden who helps you at the end of Act 2 says he has more pressing matters than a qunari invasion. This hints that something major with the darkspawn is approaching.

Together with something that seems to be stirring within the Fade (http://dragonage.wikia.com/index.php?title=Forum:Sandal_gives_a_prophecy&t=20110325221906), it just would get nuts. So no... I believe a part of it will come true, but even Bioware couldn't handle such stuff and STILL tie all the necessary stuff up. It would be madman's checkers to do all such things within one game. --TUHD (talk) 23:23, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

I have to agree that there are too many major events happening at once. But you also have to remember a possible Templar rebellion from The Chantry as well. And I have said it in multiple threads. I even put it in a threat of my own making. and I do believe that if it happens it could spell absolute doom for Thedas. The last two archdemons woken up at the same time creating what I would call a super-blight. Now as said in earlier posts. The created Warden in Awakening was called back for rumors or another blight happening. The grey Wardens in Kirkwall leaving for a very pressing matter. You ever get the feeling that the Dragon Age series will not have a happy ending? I mean you have the mystery of Sandal and Flemeth. The mystery of Hawke and the missing Warden. Who tried to kill the queen of Orlais? I think there is a greater force at work here then Flemeth, and I am starting to think that she is setting things up so she has a force to fight against it. Don't quote me on that because I have no proof. It's just a hunch. But I feel there is a puppet master behind the scenes, and I shudder to think who or what it is and if we even know them, and above all els the power they have at their fingertips. This is gonna go beyond Thedas. The change will start there, but I don't think it will end there. GreyWolf84 (talk) 01:44, March 26, 2011 (UTC)

Now in both DAO and DA2 we get told from Sten, Fenris and the Arishok that the qunari will eventually invade Thedas again and have been gathering strength for some time. So what if they decide to invade in DA3 with a mage/templar war in the midst at the same time as a possible Blight?
And to finish off my conspiracy theory of doom for Thedas Alistair (if he's King anyway) says that tension is brewing between Ferelden and Orlais. Forgive me for jumping to the worst outcome but in my opinion this almost certaintly means that they'll go to war.
The idea of a mage/templar war taking place across the land while two reasonably powerful countries wage war with each other at the same time as the Qunari attempt to conquer all of Thedas when hordes of darkspawn plot to destroy all of humanity seems to fit the bill of Flemeths "great change".

What do you think? --Donncha (talk) 23:00, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

Although it would be an most interesting story, if we were to import our stories of DA1 and DA2, it would get WAY too complex (the story would be complex anyhow).
