I actually made a chart of planned Hawkes, becuase I'm a total dork. What it boils down to is that Signe, my main one, will be a female rogue who romances Fenris and the one attached to my evil DAO playthrough will be Rogan w, a female mage who romances Anders.--Sarkadark (talk) 21:54, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

I like Signe, but Rogan is a little too close to Rogaine for me :o I'm heavily leaning toward Arpreth, because I like the ring of it. :D (talk) 00:23, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

I do not believe that you will be able to change hawke's name as it is fully voiced. You may be able to give the save game a name but thats all. Was269 (talk) 22:02, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, you can change their first name. And there's nothing dorky about it all. I've been looking through different sites with medieval names and such looking for the right one. I've decided on 'Lucia', she'll be a mage and will be pouncing on Fenris ASAP (MAN he's hot). I wanted something different than what I've used in Origins, and when I saw 'Lucia' I was like 'YES! That's the one!'. XIII Lightning (talk) 22:07, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

I like that. I've actually got two more names, Dane and Gabreal, that I think are unisex enough to use for my other two characters, who I haven't chosen genders for yet. And then there'll be the evil one. S/he doesn't have a name yet. Sarkadark (talk) 22:12, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

I've thought about playing as an evil character, not the first playthrough but at some point. But I don't think I can do it. I want people to like me... I can't bring myself to be a jerk character. I can do a nice guy and a sarcastic/witty guy, but not a jerk guy (or girl, as I can never seem to get into playing a guy either). XIII Lightning (talk) 22:32, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

I’m leaning towards Madelyn Hawke for a female mage, Allison Hawke for a female rogue, and Aiden Hawke for a male warrior or mage. 66.58.150.31 (talk) 22:34, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

It is going to be Bianca for either Rogue or Warrior. Then for a mage it is going to be Delilah. Got that one from one of my favorite KISS songs. Emmalee (talk) 23:09, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

For my rogue her name is gonna be Lucaelie, its something i use pretty often now. And i agree about it being hard to play as a jerk character, every time i try and start one they end up being nice.. Cuepid (talk) 23:15, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

Chicken Hawke, Hudson Hawke, Road warrior Hawke, Sea Hawke, Tony Hawke, Burt Reynolds is Hawke, A man called Hawke, Mount Hawke, Hawkie Hawke. I can't think of any real one's. Maybe Sterling Hawke. It's cheesy yet catchy and details how my Hawke will probably act at first. It won't be Garrett though. The Grey Unknown (talk) 23:23, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

I like alliteration (ie Lois Lane, Peter Parker). My favorite Warden is a male Dalish Elf I named Max Mahariel. I think I'll be naming my Hawke the same way. I like Hudson Hawke as that tickles me on a couple levels. Not sure if I will go with that, but it will be a H name. --Zambingo (talk) 23:43, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

"Chicken Hawke" is definitely a winner.Sarkadark (talk) 23:52, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

He was pretty tough on Bugs Bunny if I recall. The Grey Unknown (talk) 00:03, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Well I guess I was wrong... Here I thought everybody would call the male Mike Hawke.Swampman03 (talk) 00:15, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Broseph, im going with mike all the way.

a quanari shouting " Mike Hawke is here, run!" comes to mind. first thing i thought of sense i heard the name. --2WepWarr (talk) 03:08, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

I'm embarrassed, but it actually took me awhile to get that. Mike Hawke. It's perfect. The Grey Unknown (talk) 05:13, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Ethan Hawke anyone? lol I'm thinking like Morgrim. Or Cahir.

Kenneth for my male rogue or male warrior and Nolan for my male mage. ChomskyDisciple 01:00, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

After reading these, I think I'll have to go with Chicken HAwke, it reminds me of that fairy oddparents episode.EWRPV (talk) 01:17, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Depends on the build. Tama Hawke is going to be a female warrior, Connor Hawke a rogue archer. I've also got Tony Hawke and Raven Hawke on the back burner for other playthroughs.Mrs.AlistairTheirin (talk) 01:25, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Urgh. I’ve got tons of names going through my head for my first play trough. Hawke’s going to be a flirty female rouge, but I just can’t decide on a name. It’s driving me nuts T^T So far I’ve narrowed it down to: Gabrielle, Rosaline, Kara and Elissa. I’m even leaning towards using my wardens name, Rosaria, because that’s my ‘default’ game name. But I’m apprehensive of this because I don’t want the two great hero’s of Thedas running around with the same name -.-’

Ah, decisions decisions.

For the second playtrough it’s going to be male mage Hawke. Probably Lucien (or something similar), Dante or Devlin. (hehe, can you tell he’s going to be the ‘evil’ play trough :P?)Chansel (talk) 01:52, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

I've not decided on a male name for my first playthrough but second playthrough is going to be a female mage named Isabeau in reference to well, Ladyhawke. That film had the best theme ever. --MorecCousland (talk) 03:16, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

If I were to stick to "Marian" Hawke's looks (I kind of like them, mind you), I'd say the name would either be Raven, Glenda or even Themis. A male Hawke would get Bricio, Rahzel or Lennart. Any other name would depend on customization, for either genre. As for the class, I've already decided I was going with a Rogue because I like being able to open the locks on my own, thanks. ;P >>thelostpleiad (talk) 03:18, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

All I know is that for my first play-through I am going with either Simon Hawke or Nathan Hawke. I want to eventually make a mage with a mystic name like Zerin HawkeMarek Tabris (talk) 03:53, February 20, 2011 (UTC)Marek Tabris

My name's Ethan.. It makes me angry.

Bob Hawke. IP no. 59.95.169.10 (talk)

Jason (I've always thought it was a good, strong name) Hawke for a male, Faux Hawke for a female. Cuz Garret Hawke rocks, sorry. Caerwald (talk)

I always name my characters after my animals for some reason ... So, my male Hawke will be named Orion Hawke (after my new kitten), Or perhaps Onyx Hawke (after my black lab). For female Hawke: Jacklynn Hawke (siamese cat) or Jade Hawke (baby sister, do those count as animals?) PurpleNurplex0x (talk) 07:14, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

My Female Warrior shall be called Amara Hawke. I'm torn on what to name my male mage, though atm I'mm leaning towards Mattias.--D.Solstice (talk) 07:17, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Well,my mage will be either Lesk Hawke (my default name) or Shanar Hawke.--Lesk Amell (talk) 10:08, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

I'm just going to stick with the defaults. Garrett and Marian are both pretty good names. Weak Spot (talk) 10:24, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

A rogue named Tommy Hawke, dual-wielding a pair of axes sounds like fun. A female named Kitty Hawke? Tony Hawke, Thunder Hawke, Black Hawke, Ham Hawke. How about Swoo-Ping Hawke? Why? Because Swoo-Ping is bad. LVTDUDE (talk) 12:00, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

i will probly name him Logain hawke as my rouge archer.--Ruairi46 (talk) 12:55, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

i think, i'll stick to Arakin. I think it sounds good, Arakin Hawke.

I'm going for Romana for my female mage, Carissa for my female rouge, and I'm thinking Roland for my male rouge or warrior.--Akero-chan.

LOOK! Back to back rogue-spelling fail. C'mon, people! Oh, and Akero-chan, you sign with four tildes. That's the ~ key above the accent mark. LVTDUDE (talk) 18:40, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

I'm going for Nolan for my male mage, Bowen for my male warrior, and Gideon for my male rogue.--JackfieldsA113 (talk) 14:10, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Definitely, one and only - Jason Hawke!

I won't use these actual names, but they just sound funny - Moe, Tomma, Sparrow, Chicken. --Madasamadthing (talk) 14:36, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

I think I will go with something like Yvain or Myri. Maybe even my own name if I don't have the imagination when the moment comes. Maybe even the combination of Garett and Marian: Mariette/ Garian. Or maybe even shamelessly name my female: Hawkette Hawke xD..--AngelSpirit (talk) 14:49, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Ryan Hawke for my male mage. I am going to use my own name because I'm very original. Knight Captain Kerr (talk) 15:08, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Xena Hawke. Because I can. For m!Hawke... I would stick with the original, Garret sounds awesome :D Minchenator (talk)

A classic: Ebon Hawke. ^^ 89.132.204.19 (talk) 18:56, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Ha! Ebon Hawke! Best one yet :D PurpleNurplex0x (talk) 19:13, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Eben Hawke for first playthrough (male warrior), Ebenezer Hawke for second (male mage). The name sounds close enough to a familiar Bioware name, and Eben is an english form of the hebrew name Ebenezer ("stone of help").88.112.230.125 (talk) 21:39, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

My female Hawke is definitely going to be called Vorena, had that name picked out for ages! CoffeeOfDoom (talk) 02:38, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

Male hawke will be Orson Hawke. Orson is a Latin name for bear, and he will be a mage.

Gotta be Ebon Hawke. End of story! Bye-bye! See ya later. Rhautanen (talk) 23:05, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

For my male mage, I'm definitely going with Lysander Hawke, since it means "Liberator". I originally called my male mage from Origins this name, but I ended up deleting that save because I felt he was not up to the hero standard I had met with my male city elf, so for DA2, it was a no brainer. Sevarian10 (talk) 00:25, February 21, 2011 (UTC)Sevarian10

I think Conan (ooh yes, I went there) for my male warrior Hawke and Lynette for my female mage... and I haven't decided on a rogue name and gender yet. (DDragonfly1990 (talk) 00:37, February 21, 2011 (UTC))

Ahah.. from reading some earlier posts I think ill name my male "Mike Hawke". If you dont get it already, say it outloud. yeah. TEEHEE! Subject 14 (talk) 04:29, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

I'll likely use "Laertes". It doesn't quite fit in with "Hawke", but 'tis a great name. I'm really not a fan of the name "Hawke". It's a bit too much like "Reallysuperawesomebadass name". I'd prefer something more realistic/average like Cousland. Hawke is just cheesy. AldorianCaptain (talk) 06:46, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

Just thought I'd drop by to let you know this: I'm a Spanish-speaker so when you say "Laertes" (in Spanish) coupled with "Hawke" (in English), it sounds awesome! (Or it might be just me, since I like weird names to begin with...) Anyway, kudos to you! ;P >>Thelostpleiad (talk) 22:46, February 27, 2011 (UTC)

I'll just put a space and it will just be hawke. Or Guy Hawke reminds me of guy fawkes. But i'll just name mine issac by default.

Of all the names listed here, Chicken Hawke is my favorite. I'll probably just use the default Garrett, though Katar Hawke has it's appeal. Gruedragon (talk) 14:06, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you, I say thank you boy. --Madasamadthing (talk) 14:03, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

BABY CAKES JR!!!!!!!!!!!!Faboo (talk) 14:21, February 21, 2011 (UTC)Faboo

I'll have a male warrior, Daewyn Hawke, who'll romance Merrill.

I personally dislike actually existing names, IMO - creating my own I find much more fun. Diwaldor (talk) 15:21, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

I do like the default for male Hawke, so I will probably stick with Garret. While alternatives like Toma Hawke or Ebon Hawke are tempting, I kinda feel I would soon regret chosing one of those - I just couldn't take the character serious. For my female Hawke I will use Aniko, which I have already used again and again in several other RPGs in the past - I will NOT stick with Marian, as I just hate that name. ZordanRodiak (talk) 22:17, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

I'm planning on naming one of my Hawkes 'Obi-Wan'. He will be a Force Mage.

As for what Hawke will be named when I'm not joking around? I'm really not sure. I still haven't decided what gender of Hawke I'm going to be.--HED - HalfElfDragon 08:31, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Nice name, the force is strong in you. Kheva Cousland (talk) 14:23, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Shepard. 86.162.224.204 (talk) 09:05, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Jayne. (He's the hero of Kirkwall, a man they call Jayne...) Tivadar (talk) 14:00, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

I was actually wondering when someone would make this reference :P (DDragonfly1990 (talk) 14:06, February 22, 2011 (UTC))

My first and foremost will be Kheva Hawke, a rogue to the end. My warrior will be Wulf Hawke and my mage Kelsier Hawke. I might make a Lady Hawke called Ravn. Kheva Cousland (talk) 14:21, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

I was reading that page on Elven Language and made up some names. Lenrevas-Child of Freedom. Shemhamin-literally,a nap. Uthshiral-Never-Ending Journey. Dorfinan,Grey-Eye. Ufen,Lone Wolf.(possibly)--Lesk Amell (talk) 14:50, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Terry Hawke, Champion of Kirkwall and Contracted Roofer GodVsSanta 14:52, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Mirin Hawke (Male Mage), named after his relative, Mirin Commander of the Grey. Not exactly original, but i've always named my male mage type characters (starting with my WoW Warlock) Mirin. Devmir (talk) 18:10, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Maximus Decimus Hawke, or maybe just Decimus for my evil playthrough. Gabriel or Micahel is my default male name, and Cristina(AC:B) as a default female. Killer Hawke sounds good.... maybe even Edward, Alphonse, or Winry Hawke... who knows. Fullmetalwarden (talk) 18:55, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Auron Hawke. Bioware isn't the only one who can take things from Final Fantasy.--TheGreyestWarden (talk) 19:11, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

How about Mo Hawke ?? MoTeets

In accordance with DA2's fantasy setting and the fact that the only real certainty of Hawke's story is that he is champion, I was thinking about mythological or historical names of heroes: Achilles, Theseus, Alexander, Jason, Sun, Spartacus, Sasuke etc.... Anarchovore23

My male mage is going to be named Aurelius Hawke, and any other class will be named Hadrian Hawke, and females will be Aegea Hawke.Themagiwarden (talk) 21:08, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

I am now torn between names. I am for sure going to name my warrior Bianca. Now for either the rogue or mage I am not sure. It is between Riley or Delilah. I was thinking Riley for the rogue but now I thought about naming my mage that. Cause all I could think about was my festy mage and Anders getting together and Riley seemed to fit perfectly. Emmalee (talk) 21:36, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Holy shit Ebon Hawke. Its perfect. kotor ftw

Totally gonna name my primary Hawke character Kestrel. =D

I'm really leaning towards Ephraim for my male Hawke (mage), and maybe Elle for my female Hawke (rogue). I kind of like the way 'Elle Hawke' rolls off the tongue. --Farron Mahariel (talk) 10:50, February 27, 2011 (UTC

I'll call my Warrior my name, Charlotte, just like my Human Noble in Origins XD Charlotte cousland (talk) 19:18, February 27, 2011 (UTC)

My first Hawke will be called Rhea and is going to be a mage. The second one is a warrior named Elegy. Not sure about male Hawke's name yet, kind of juggling between Ilya and Ezra. Jaarlitar (talk)

my characters will be called brutalfist for the a female warrior, merall marcell reaver dubz and scorn

My male Hawke will be called Greg Hawke and my female Hawke will be called Lita Hawke PrimarchRadiz (talk) 22:26, February 27, 2011 (UTC)

I'm naming my female rogue hawke, Berelain after Perrin's hawk in "The Wheel of Time" series.--KarlGambolputty (talk) 01:11, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

Dingo Hawke, as a reference to Dingo Egret from Zone of the Enders 2. Egret and Hawk(e) are both birds, so there's that. Dingoes are natural predators, and he's going to be an extremely aggressive warrior, so that works out too. Plus, it rolls off the tongue better than Jehuty Hawke, which was the original ZOE2 reference I was planning on. (Oddly enough, Fenris, who I'm hoping to romance, happens to share some appearance traits with Dingo Egret.) 98.203.133.125 (talk) 04:58, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

Talon-of-the-Silver Hawke. -CarloGrimaldi (talk) 05:30, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

I'll probably name her Talon (warrior), Anastasia (rogue), or Kitten (mage). First for obvious, very cheesy reasons, second because it's pretty, third because I like odd names. ;D The name will probably change when I make her, though. :3 Cassikorita (talk) 05:56, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

I ended up naming my mage Rawke Hawke like in Paper Mario 2: The Thousand Year Door.EWRPV (talk) 19:08, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

My Male Mage Hawke is called Vakair, i thought it was a pretty cool name. I also had a Female Elf Rogue on Origins called Celaila which was also really nice if anyone wants to use those names.

I wonder how many Stringfellow or St.John Hawke's there have been? How many Lady Hawke's? I think - just for the shear disgust factor - I will go for Flem Hawke. I think actually calling him (or her) Phlegm would just get stuck in my throat all the time. Mondrak (talk) 20:50, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

Playing last night, when Hawke and Carver were discussion Carver's namesake, I just about fell out of my chair when Hawke said, "I'm sure someone spent far too much time choosing my name." Gruedragon (talk) 21:38, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

How about Toma Hawke for an axe wielding warrior. =]] Hpa tqn (talk) 22:01, March 25, 2011 (UTC)
