As you can now doubtlessly see, the results of Forum:Forum headers came to fruition and we implemented a new header for the forums. I second having the Codex Book image being the one for the Lore Section. Just makes sense to have that, as that section I see as our, the users' collective knowledge and the discussion of things within that. But is having just an image of a book a little boring? [[file:redd I was thinking about which icons could be possibilities and how they relate to the different areas. So I think it comes down to what we think each section is about. The Game Help section or Game Discussion, for example. How do you depict that with an image taken from the game, when that forum section is actually about the game, as a video game in the real world? I was thinking maybe the Mabari. The Mabari, are a highly regarded pet and friend to Fereldans, which help us as the character we play, either to find things or to actually defend us. So does it make to use the image of one to represent that section of the forum? So our fellow users who answer gameplay questions are sort of mirroring the helpfulness of our canine pals?

I'm not sure how you'd go about visualising the Wiki forum section. How do you describe that section? It's about the framework of the online database that is the wiki and how it's operated, but does anything in game actually represent that? Unless you used the Codex Book for the Wiki section, as the Wiki section would also deal with the wiki as a whole, including all the information contained on all the pages there are. The next step is usually to put together the selection and let people vote or decide on it. Since you frequent the game and lore forums much more than I do, you can take the lead on this. Whether you want it to be a straight vote or comment/opinion style is up to you. Based on the discussion at Forum:New forums, it looks like the prevailing suggestion is to use the following:

• Dragon Age Discussion (for the series, movies, comics, da3, what ifs)
• Game Help (for hints and gameplay related issues, no what-ifs or speculation about future games)
• Lore Discussion (for discussion about the story behind da, history, lore, speculative history based with evidence)
• Wiki Discussion (anything related to the wiki)

I will move the current Game Discussion over to Dragon Age Discussion for posterity, but may need a bot to handle it. Can you rewrite the forum introductions? -- tierrie talk contr 19:47, September 19, 2011 (UTC)

Just finished a discussion with D-day and she suggested we keep it named Game Discussions and add Game Help. I know there was an unconcluded discussion on what to name it, so I'm going to hold off on renaming the Game Discussion and just add Game Help for now. -- tierrie talk contr 22:44, September 19, 2011 (UTC)

Err...this (http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/File:Dragon_Age_II_Logo.png) was the logo I was talking about....if the bottom is removed it leaved Hawke and the Dragon. IMO it'll look better.Diain (talk) 19:10, September 19, 2011 (UTC)

Oh, my apologies, I thought you were referring to this one. I personally prefer the Origins-style dragon, but if Hawke and the Dragon Age II caption were edited out of your choice I'd have no objections. King Cousland | Talk

Can you hold off on using those icons? I'll see if D-day will use her power for good and not evil and make us a set of icons based on your entries. That way, they will appear much more consistent. -- tierrie talk contr 07:06, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

I know I'm reviving an old thread, but I'd like to clarify that we didn't use the suggested banners as they are too different in terms of style. They have been reworked so it would make more sense as a theme. I hope no one objected to that. --D. (talk · contr) 20:39, March 15, 2012 (UTC)
