So on my most recent playthrough, I was a male human noble, and decided I wanted to be Teyrn of Gwaren at the end of the game. So as you do, I fought the Archdemon, and got to the coronation, having Anora as sole ruler. And I then picked "A title and riches to go with it." I became the Teyrn of Gwaren (yay) however I noticed that, that's it! After that little sentence about how you are to take over Loghain's lands and estate, you hear nothing about it again. I thought that maybe when I start Awakening, and meet Anora, she may refer to me as "Your Grace" however no, she didn't. No-one calls me "Your Grace" just "Commander" which got me quite annoyed! I didn't go through an entire blight to be called "Commander" I want my Teyrnir and title!!!

Anyway, thats my little rant over about that, does anyone else feel this way? Does anyone else have any little annoyances that they want to rant about?WardenCommander17 (talk) 00:05, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

I was ticked off about Amethyne, Iona's daughter. In the male noble beginning, Iona will join you in the sack. She tells you of her lovely daughter, Amethyne, who lives in the Alienage. Howe's thugs kill Iona early in the story. Then near the end when you get into the Alienage, there sits Amethyne, asking when her mother will return from Highever. And you can't do anything for her. You should be able to tell Shianni, Valendrian or someone there that Amethyne's mother is dead and ask that they care for her. Failing that you should be able to seek help from your friend, the Arl of Redcliffe. I even did a replay in which I didn't invite Iona to the sack in hopes that she could escape Highever and return to take care of Amethyne. But no go. Amethyne still sits in the same place in the Alienage with no one watching after her. She just doesn't talk to you. Big bummer in my book. WarPaint (talk) 01:20, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Despite the fact that my eyes are about to shut, I have to say this or it's going to keep bugging me. Genlock -> born from Broodmothers who were once Dwarven women. Dwarves -> unable to dream, thus cannot connect to the Fade and cannot be mages. Even surface Dwarves, several generations removed cannot become mages Darkspawn take on the most apparent traits in their host species, eg, Shrieks -> Elven speed and agility, Ogres -> Qunari size and strength. Which raises an unanswered question. Why the hell do we keep seeing Genlock Emmissaries and no Shriek Emmissaries?!?!? --Madasamadthing (talk) 03:18, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah!! I noticed this! Genlock Emmissaries shouldn't be possible! Argh, I still want my Teyrnir though. :( WardenCommander17 (talk) 13:00, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Promises, promises... Do you ever get the feeling that you're just being used as a pawn in some game being played by the gods? WarPaint (talk) 17:25, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

I also got pissed when I became queen... Everyone was treating me as "Commander" and not "Your Highness"! C'mon! I married the KING of FERELDAN! Do you really think that I married Alistair just because of the riches? NO! I married him because I wanted to be called "My queen" or "Your Majesty" and all those titles. My brother also got pissed when he became king and no one respected or called him with the appropriate title! Sob. --Rocketai (talk) 17:37, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Ah how power corrupts people... Which is why i stayed Commander of the Gray Wardens... Although I do feel your pain because I played and Married Anora one time through and it royally (pun intended) PISSED ME OFF. Im a king now so treat me like one--Tj2592 (talk) 17:40, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah! And what the hell is The Warden doing outside the palace without a patrol of well armed and trained men following him/her? The King/Queen can't just walk around, even if it's supposed to be a secret mission. It's the same as Queen Elizabeth transforms into a Grey Warden and throws herself in the middle of that war between USA and Iran with only three idiots following her. --Rocketai (talk) 17:58, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
For warden-commander it's strange too. If I can give such order the 30 of warriors, that fight in last battle for Keep will go to marsh/underground/forest, and I'll finally get some rest in town or the Keep. 91.192.191.221 (talk) 18:29, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

I think at this point in the game, everyone does not dare to mess with the Warden Commander because they did just kill the Archdemon so anyone trying to mess with you would be just plain stupid. That's how I'm looking at it. I also do get annoyed that I'm not being referred to as King/Queen ESPECIALLY when Anora/Alistair brings up the wedding. So, it should be known that we are the King/Queen of Ferelden dang it. I guess that it was just easier and faster for the game designers to refer to the Warden as Commander. I have a whole list if things that kind of annoy me in the game but I won't vent too much about it.--Fantasyeve87 18:28, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
Wait a second. There must be a mistake. Alistair does say something when you marry him, he says like "...That'll soon be your future queen". Until there I was happy, but when I imported my Warden to Awakening and NO ONE called me queen, I went berserker. --Rocketai (talk) 13:12, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
I hate wardens. I (Dalish elf) said Dunkan he'll pay for taking me from my home. I was glad Dunkan was killed and said it to Alistair, he made a funny face, he-he. When (with -100 approval) we had another good dialoge, when he learned, that being a warden is nothing for me and I'll be glad if he go and kill himself. Then Alistair was killed by Anora, Loghain killed the archdemon and died, and I became a chancellor. Then my hero was made a warden commander. No one has joined wardens. Shem or stupid dwarf or spirit are not welcome and I didn't want to ruin Velanna's life. In the last battle the Keep was destroyed with every wardens servant. And now I help Anora to role - the main my goals are - to help my people and to make sure no wardens will be in Ferelden. Don't call me 'warden-commander' too. 91.192.191.221 (talk) 18:29, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
Your Warden is a psycho. --Rocketai (talk) 21:20, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Wow, guy above me. Your Warden is a big meanie :( - Yash7

And Ferelden is in a world of trouble with no Grey Wardens.--Madasamadthing (talk) 20:51, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

I must admit I can sympathize somewhat with 91.192.191.221. It seems to me Duncan is just a wee bit presumptuous:

  • In one play-through, I was forced into the Grey Wardens against my will; and then, "Drink this blood or I'll kill you. Oh, and I forgot to mention, this blood is a slow working, incurable poison."
  • In the Noble human beginning, Duncan failed to save my father from Howe; he promises to save my Mother in return for my becoming a Warden, and he does not. Indeed, he doesn't even try to persuade her to come with us. He certainly doesn't save me as I am able to use the secret passage in my own home without any aid from Duncan.
  • About the last thing we hear Duncan say is, "Don't worry Your Majesty, the plan will work." A fine example of "famous last words".
  • On the other hand, though Alistair isn't the brightest lad in the world, I can't see any justification for his execution. Nor can I see justification for allowing friends at the Keep to die.
  • Maybe Morrigan will bring me a cure for Duncan's poison in the upcoming "Witch Hunt" episode. -- WarPaint (talk) 22:39, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Ooooh Warpaint!! I think you are on to something!! Maybe the taint will be cured then my Queen Warden-Commander can have children!! (Squeals!! Clears throat). I am with you Rocktai!! WTF!! I feel like everyone should recognize my Warden as friggin Queen. I worked hard (well, not really) to make Alistair fall for me. I got my butt on the throne only to be recognized as the Warden Commander? I felt like too many people tried my patience in Awakenings. Like those stupid peasants and the uprising??? I AM QUEEN? HOW DARE YOU TRY AND ATTACK ME!!I also felt like anything the represented Anora as Queen should have been smashed. Like that stupid snow globe as a gift. if I get my hands on it.....I'm sellin it!! RhiannonCousland (talk) 04:36, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Answer to "Maybe Morrigan will bring me a cure for Duncan's poison"
I don't need Morrigan, I have Avernus, his reaseach will continue. His way to live with 'poison' is fine for me. Who says 'forbitten blood magic'? The ideas of shems chantry is VERY important for me, dalish chancellor.
Answer to "And Ferelden is in a world of trouble with no Grey Wardens"
Ha, I now have a ritual secret, I have materials to make new wardens. But I will not before new Blight. Why do I need to have a 1000 of doomed 'fine warriors' at peace, when it takes 2-3 hours to make a new one? If new archdemon will come to Ferelden again we'll be ready. 91.192.191.221 (talk) 07:39, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

To 91.192.191.221 I always wonder that too. They make it like people would not be willing. That bull people enlist in times of war all the time. There will always be heros. No let take great warrior and send them to death. I always saw being a grey warden as a punishment. Have to give up everything, Drink a slow actting posion, and be some soilder. There are a few who are better off like the Elf commoner or the mage. Not being confined and all. Then the dwarf where at a death sentance anyway. I always found the human noble to just not fit.--IceStar100 (talk) 08:03, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

The only thing is the wardens can sense dark spawn and they cannot learn it at moment. But it's not the reason to have hundreds of them and like mages say - they can do it too, so the role of wardens isn't so big. I'm for recruiting people such Loghain into wardens. Their favotite words are true - "In death - sacrifice" not "In joining - sacrifice". 91.192.191.221 (talk) 08:14, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

The word 'Vigilance' means nothing to you lot does it? There must be Grey Wardens to warn people when The Darkspawn are about to attack, and to deal with any raiding bands. Also how selfish are some of you? If I drink this I'll die in 30 years! How long am I going to live anyway, in a world like this? 31 years? I've been cheated, let the whole world burn then!" --Warden Of The Dales (talk) 07:41, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

Problem is - being a warden gives nearly nothing - the person don't become better warrior and the sense of darkspawn is very overrated by themselves - the keeper Marethari sensed dark spawn as Dunkan for example (the best of wardens and the most near to becoming darkspawn himself by the way). They even don't needed to kill archdemon - Morrigan showed it. And even you say 'vigilance' you don't need so many wardens and you don't need to lie to every candidate. 91.192.191.221 (talk) 08:54, September 1, 2010 (UTC)
