I was just wondering if it would be possible to edit Hawke's Appearance in Dragon Age 2. Does he/she have to have black hair with a blood stain across their nose at all times? And maybe im not observant or something, but Hawke and the companions ive seen so far always seem to be wearing the same clothes/armor. Will that change? Im like ten minutes new to this wiki and ive only created one page "Eluvian" :D tildes... DalishousFoot (talk) 19:14, January 1, 2011 (UTC) DalishousFoot

The blood stain is kind of a fill in for tattoos, which we don't know for sure will be in the game, I suppose.~ I'd imagine they will be, but we haven't truly seen much of them, if any at all. The blood stain is optional though, I believe, do forgive me if I'm wrong. Otherwise, yes, you can change Hawke's hair color and style, and said hair color will be reflected onto your sibling's hair as well. The armor and such that you see in the videos are obviously early works, they're not going to show us all of the armor available two or three months before the game comes out. ^^ Kitoko Cousland (talk) 19:26, January 1, 2011 (UTC)

You can edit Hawkes face but i really hope that you can edit his body shape too so you can make him/her more personal. i'm not so sure about the blood, it would be very strange if he walked around whit blood in his face the whole time if it's not some face paint or he puts it on right before a fight or gets it after an fight when he has blood on him. I was quite disappointed in ME when we couldn't tweak the default Shepard, who I thought was almost perfect except for his too-big lips and too-small nose. I'm not as married to the in-game default Hawke appearance (although the concept art and trailer versions are pretty awesome), but hopefully they will put the default as one of the presets this time, rather than as a stand-alone, un-editable morph. I'm pretty sure the Hawke you see in the previews is one of the presets, and that that specific preset (with the blood on the nose) can't be modified. There are going to be other presets though and you can fully customize the appearence of your Hawke to the same extent (if not more so) than your character in Origins. The hair and skin tone you select will also be the same for your family members (Bethany, Carver, and Leandra). Armor also works differently than in Origins. Each character will have armors specific to them (that can't be worn by other characters), but they will also have more than one. Hawke will have different armors and the one shown in the previews is only one of them. It has to do with the devs wanting the characters to have a more unique feel rather than them all looking practically the same. The reason Hawke is shown in all the ads in the same armor is the same reason they don't really show Fem Hawke in the ads; they want people to picture a single character when they think of the game (it's supposedly better for advertising, JE used two and despite how good it was it didn't sell very well).  ✪Aedan Cousland | Talk | Contr 01:31, January 2, 2011 (UTC)
