:I think the answer would be a clear no: Dreamers cannot enter the city. Although the precise difference between entering the fade when you are dreaming and entering the fade through deliberate magical means as the mages do, and as the player character can be forced to do by Sloth or The Mother, is unclear. But either way, it wouldn't make sense for the magisters to spill the blood of thousands of slaves and consumed a fortune's worth of lyrium to do something you could just sleep your way into. Also, I have always questioned this statement of "physically entering" the Golden/Black city. I don't think any of the ingame sources clarify whether the magisters who entered the city actually ceased to exist in the physical world at the time. I was playing Dragon Age Origins and i saw the Black City from afar while in the Fade. Then something hit me: Is it possible for a dreamer to reach the City? And if so, does this mean that the Tvinter mages that physically entered it were all dreamers (i remember reading it in Until We Sleep but i am not sure)? Tell me what you think! Yes, perhaps it is possible. No mere mortal would be able to enter the maker's seat of power unless they possess some measure of power that "might" rival the maker himself... Through pride and arrogance, they were being cursed by their own corruption and brought unspeakable misery upon the world of thedas, thus known as the darkspawns and the blight. But to return to your original question- Yes they might be dreamer due to the fact that they were able to reach that plane of existence, if not then how did they ended up being there in the first place?--Seeking Seer, (The Deceiver's Bane) 06:43, June 6, 2013 (UTC)

I don't think their power would have to rival the being who created everything. The power required to create a door or portal to a place would not need to be as potent as the power used to create the place itself.Arkangel37 (talk) 18:00, June 7, 2013 (UTC)

If Corypheus reached the city, the dreamers can do it too.156.17.71.249 (talk) 08:22, June 6, 2013 (UTC)
