An idea came to mind one time. What if they made a DA side story game that took place in the distant future. It would include all elements from the original DA series (Darkspawn, Grey Wardens, Mages, Etc.) along with new elements (technology, airships, science, etc.). It would be like bordering on ME only short of space travel.--22.214.171.124 (talk) 03:08, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, it's a cool idea, but it kind of breaks the whole 'High Fantasy' feel that DA has to it - what you're talking about sounds more steampunk (*shudders*), like WoW. (admittedly Jade Empire, also by Bioware, is the only game where advanced technology is seamlessly part of a fantasy world) --Delta 088 (talk) 09:17, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
To me it sounds like Final Fantasy but more or less the original ones. Something along the lines of FF VII. Ah, good game but if I wanted Final Fantasy than I would play that. I love Dragon Age because it takes place when it take place. The setting is what makes the game in my opinion. If you change that than you have an entirely "new" game which would not be Dragon Age anymore. However, it could still be good and I might give it a try. Cool Idea but then it wouldn't be Dragon Age. It wouldn't be in the Dragon age. However, I feel that Dragon Age's setting works best in well teh Dragon age (lower case, age, indidcts the time. Upper Case, Age, indicts franchise.)CrowInvictus (talk) 12:24, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
Do you think if they'd called Dragon Age 2 a side game maybe it would have gotten less hate? I would have bought the explanation that it was more a spinoff than a sequel.--Liam Sionnach (talk) 05:00, April 19, 2012 (UTC)
