Am i the only one who has noticed that the Timeline in DA is slightly f***ed up? Ok the blight lasted for a year, Hawke was in kirkwall for a year. The events of Awakening was maybe a month or two after the end of the blight.
So how THE HELL does Oghren end up fathering a child in less than a month, presumning that dwarf pregnancies last 9 months and Oghren didn't have alone time with Felsi beforehand?? Phoenix96 (talk) 12:10, May 3, 2012 (UTC)

In DAA Oggy said he's 2nd year on the surface, maybe he impregnated Felsi and left her to join the GW. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.105.139.67 (talk)

The events in Awakening begin 6 months after the "Thank you Warden for being awesome" ceremony, so it can be anywhere from 6 to 7~8 months after the battle of Denerim (I'm assuming my Warden needed some time to recuperate after being blown backwards by an exploding dragon). Assuming Antiva's thousands of miles away (Alistair says Weisshaupt is THOUSANDS of miles away, and I'm assuming Antiva's about as far from Ferelden) and a horse covering 60 miles a day tops... that's 40 days from Antiva and back, and you get a letter from Zevran insinuating that he's been there and hadn't just arrived, and that the Warden had written to him previously. So yeah, methinks it's been a while since the big boom atop Fort Drakon. Plenty of time for Oghren to errrr, woo Felsi. -Gabriellesig 18:41, May 3, 2012 (UTC)

The timeline is still fucked up in regards to Anders. Given how there was several months between the very end of Origins and the start of Awakening AND then we need to remember that the events of Awakening probably took several months (a whole castle is rebuilt after all, that would take quite a while) it still to this day seems daft to me that Anders is still able to get to Kirkwall at such an odd time. We were only part way through the Blight when Hawke arrived in Kirkwall and then there's only a year until the start of Act I. Yes there are plenty of ways to explain it but still... let's not kid ourselves. It's stupid. (DDragonfly1990 (talk) 19:40, May 3, 2012 (UTC))

Oghren said he would try to look up Felsi again when you talk to him at the ceremony (though the girl next to him looks like Felsi). So it wasn't until then that Oghren looked her up. Then they did the nasty, and that's where she got the "we were role-playing" thing. That is when Oghren probably knocked her up. Then later on she returns with their baby. This is after a few months in-universe, during Awakening. Believe it! (talk) 20:48, May 3, 2012 (UTC)

Yes the timeline is royally messed up. I gave up trying to figure it out cause there are so many things that happened that don't match up with others. But here is what I have come up with.

I think Oghren had "private" time with Felsi shortly after everyone was drooling all over Sophie (my warden and queen of ferelden). Awakening I think happened at least 6 months to almost a year after the drooling ceremony. If you choose to be queen you and Alistair have that talk right afterwards in some dinning room. In the convo he says something that his corination wont take place for some time. Well in the epilogue it says that "in the months that followed". When Awakening happens him and my warden are married and he has been on the throne for a time already cause he makes some comment along the lines of "I need to take care some matters in the Bannorn".There had to have been a moderate time span from the end of the blight till Awakening to begin because they had to have gotten married, Alistair had his corination, and for him to be on the throne. So within that time I do believe that there was plenty of time for Oghren and Felsi to have "private" time and for the result to be born. He had to have left right after the drooling was done.

As far as DA2. When it starts the battle of Ostagar happened shortly before and the blight is just starting. It never was said how long it takes for Hawke and the family to get to a ship. It takes a few weeks to sail to Kirkwall and once you get there it takes a year for you to work off your debt to whomever. Then the game finally begins with Hawke trying to get onto the expedition into the deep roads. So we are looking at a year and a month or so before the events of DA2 to start taking place. When it starts we are in our second year in Kirkwall. When you go to gather Anders for your party Varric gives you some info along the lines of "There is a grey warden in the city. Arrived with some Ferelden refugees not to long ago". Then when you go talk to the girl in the hospice or whatever she says "We are out of the blights path now why would you need a warden".

While the blight is taking place Hawke and family arrive in kirkwall. While working off the debt Awakening takes place. When DA2 finally begins Awakening is done and Anders sometime within that second year arrives. So in total I am guessing 2 years and some months for Origins to start/end, Awakening, and the start of the events in DA2. Emmalee (talk) 22:13, May 3, 2012 (UTC)
