Does anyone think it's possible that Flemeth had any males sons, and she either raised them, killed them, or sent them to the Chasind to become shamans?

Sorcerer of the Wilds...could be interesting. VanDaen (talk) 23:15, May 9, 2014 (UTC)

This is a very good question. I would guess that Flementh has had a few sons, but she probably gives them all away, or maybe even abandons them to death in the wilds. If she has raised any as "sorcerers of the wilds", do you think its possible she has possessed them like she planned to do with Morrigan? Drake72 (talk) 23:29, May 9, 2014 (UTC)

Well, they couldn't be witches as witches are by definition female. They'd be wizards or warlocks or sorcerers or whatever. But no, I don't think Flemeth had any sons. I'm not even sure Morrigan and Yavana are her biological daughters. They may be, but Flemeth could have also kidnapped them when they were very young and raised them. According to Morrigan, Flemeth "isn't even truly human" so I doubt she'd have human children. Besides, I thought the whole point of her having daughters was to raise a new body to possess when her current one gets too old. Whatever sort of being Flemeth is, it clearly prefers female bodies. I'm still not sure why Flemeth would need both Morrigan and Yavana, but that's another issue. Silver Warden (talk) 23:33, May 9, 2014 (UTC)

As a potentially useless point, while in modern usage "witch" refers to a female practicioner of magic, as late as the 15th century the term seems to have referred to both female and male practitioners of magic. Since the DA universe is at least pseudo-medieval, arguably a male witch of the wilds could exist. -- Gissur the Sailor (talk) 14:01, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

96.228.52.232 (talk) 02:30, May 10, 2014 (UTC)real question why wou;d she need a male to posses or something else

Possible, and interesting, but unlikely and no evidence to suggest it. So far the lore has only said Flemeth has many daughters, and through Morrigan we know she uses them as hosts when her current body gets too old. She probably has one in each country in case of emergencies, so she doesn't have to go all the way back to Morrigan if she needs a host quickly. If she had any sons, it would have to be because she'd like to live as a man for a while. While that might be interesting, from what I gather of Flemeth she doesn't seem to think much of men. 12:45, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

Hold on. Flemeth lives as far away from everything else in Thedas for a reason. She's created these tales and myths about her in an effort to keep the few people who do live near her away for a reason. So to even suggest she is actually a "witch", much less human at this point (As Morrigan said), is almost certainly not accurate. Which means we're not even sure she can have a child, much less a male child. Regardless, she has no need of a male child at all as these female mage children are probably acquired for a singular, planned purpose, and it's not so Flemeth can steal their bodies either. That's part of the tales, a part of the misdirection she uses to mask both what she is doing, and who she is. It's more likely that she's taking these young mage girls at an early age and raising them in the hopes of finding one strong enough to actually do what Morrigan either accomplished, or what she was supposed to accomplish, in DAO. It's also not out of the realm of possibility the daughters are part of a single, important bloodline meant to actually bare the child produced from the union with the Grey Warden that ultimately frees the Old God from the taint. But either way, males are pretty much useless to Flemeth. At least until a Grey Warden is needed for some OGB producing sexy time, or some moron is needed to ensure she gets to where she needs to be so she can manipulate things in an effort to make the world ready for...something. The Grey Unknown (talk) 18:20, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

Flemeth can manipulate chromosomes of her unborn babies to have daughters only. If she had sons, she could simply send them to orphanage or abandon in the forrest, because she had no need of them. I speculate Sandal is Flemeth's failed and unwanted son.156.17.71.249 (talk) 12:35, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

She manipulated her birth of daughters by magic and having a son is very unlike to her.
