i mean morrigan said fleeth is not a demon nor human

You should check out this thread Could Flemeth be Andraste? you might find some answers and my theory is there too. Anya (talk)05:03, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

I'm partial to Flemeth being Fen'Harel --D.Solstice (talk) 02:51, October 4, 2010 (UTC) User:D.Solstice

If shes not demon nor human (and i'm sure she meant on dwarves and elfes and qunari aswell), than she's prolly a darkspawn. :P Hmmh, go figure.--Markurion (talk) 03:23, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

Well she may be the corrupted Old God of Mystery... seeing as she IS more or less a mystery. Nope. Wait. That'd be way too freakin simple O.o --Xiorath (talk) 03:50, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

If she's Fen'Harel, then what is the Maker? -- Rocketai (talk · contr) 03:56, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

If she's Fen'Harel, then the Maker is a joke. Fen'Harel is like Loke, and everyone knows that Loke is the greatest prank-up-artist of all time. Imagine what he would have done if he hadn't thrown it all away when arranged Balder's death.
In case you don't know: Balder is this douchebag that all the other gods think is oh so perfect. He is nice, he is handsome, he's naive, friendly and always willing to help a friend. Everyone likes him because he is so likeable, but he is taking all the attention away from Loke. Loke is a self-absorbed manipulative basted, that cannot stand not to be the centre of attention. So he does the only sensible thing: Get rids of this douchebag that steals his thunder. Unfortunately he gets caught, and murder isn't something the gods will go venials on. -rphb- (talk) 08:26, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

I've had several theories of what Flemeth might be cross my mind, I'll go down the list:

  1. Spirits take on an aspect of mortal life that they see across the veil. Flemeth took in a demon (which would normally make her an abomination) but forced her own will on to it and make it's nature match her own, essentially making it a part of her. She works in tandem with this spirit because her will has become it's own.
  2. Flemeth is possessed by both a demon and a spirit (possibly of opposed traits), which results in a balance that allows her to remain in control.
  3. Flemeth is possessed by a nature spirit instead of one from the fade (and is either dominating or working in tandem with it).
  4. Flemeth's power has reached a point where she is no longer human (if she ever was to start with). Perhaps her magical power has become so potent that a physical body no longer means anything to her and she can exist independent of one (sort of like a Shade). Similarly her long life has left her unable to even relate to her former brethren. She is thus not human in body or mind.
  5. Flemeth is an Old God herself, having been created in a ritual similar to the one used to create the OGB. Perhaps the ritual was originally less refined, not allowing the Warden who delivered the final blow to survive and only trapping the soul.
  6. Flemeth is a creation of one or more of the Old Gods (likely Urthemiel) who was made to serve them in whatever capacity they saw fit. Her soul is not a normal soul like those of most mortals but that of a fade or nature spirit, or maybe even a fraction of the soul of whatever Old God made her.

These are all of the more or less plausible things I could come up with, some are better than others. --Aedan Cousland (talk) 10:03, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

I think it would be entirely logical for Flemeth to be SOME sort of diety but who knows what or how. I wonder whether she may be some form of demi-God to the Old Gods (or a servant / prophet even). The fact that she sent Morrigan to go and obtain the Old God Spirit (as said by Morrigan when she's trying to pursuade you to take up her dark offer), I think that indicates that she has some sort of vested interest in them and perhaps it's more than longing for power. Maybe she is one of them or serves them? I'm very interested to see what this demon-baby of Morrigan's turns in to; I can see it being some kind of Dragon-kin hybrid...?
