I'm new to the Dragon Age games and am just starting out in DAO. I have a question about adding items using the console.

I have added the mod recommended in the Nexus mods. When I run the script for an time is says "SUCCESS" but when I check my inventory it isn't in there.

I noticed when I downloaded the nexus mod there were 2 item files: one was additem.ncs and the other was additem.nss. The instructions said only to put the .ncs file in the override folder but what do you do with the .nss file?

I tried it with just the .ncs file and then with both files in the override but I still don't see any of the items I added.

additem.ncs is the actual script; it's really all you need to install; additem.nss is the uncompiled source for the script. The behaviour you've described ('success' message but no item added) usually occurs when the item doesn't exist in the current module (trying to add an Awakening item in the main campaign, for example) or is not defined in the additem script (some plot items, most items from mods, etc). -Theskymoves (talk) 01:36, October 2, 2016 (UTC)
You have to remember to add a space after your command, otherwise the game will only say success and not add the item. --Sadandyrkaar (talk) 11:40, October 29, 2016 (UTC)
