How much time has passed since the Blight in Dragon Age II? Perhaps times have just changed and the Darkspawn changed with them. That's how I'll explain it while playing the game without breaking character. That, and not reading the loading screens.

Yeah, I don't like the new hurlocks, either. The one I saw in a video, and I thought it was a skeleton or a ghoul, not a hurlock. [[User:Skahaggus7|Skahaggus7]] ([[User talk:Skahaggus7|talk]]) 01:28, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

Hi! In DA2 the hulocks get a new look (if you've been following announcements you probably know that) and so do the ogres (even if its similar to the original look). What do you think about the "new" darkspaawn? personally, I think it suits the new art style better. On the same note, iv'e seen only hurlocks and ogres but no genlocks and shrieks, what happened to them?--Achiles910 (talk) 12:14, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Don't mind the new ogres, but don't care for the new hurlocks. They look too different from the DAO hurlocks. I'm all for improving graphics and adapting to different art styles, but I don't think I'd recognize the DA2 hurlocks as hurlocks if we hadn't been told they are hurlocks. If they kept the DA2 ogres recognizable as ogres, why couldn't they have kept the DA2 hurlocks recognizable as hurlocks? Gruedragon (talk) 14:18, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

I absolutely agree with Gruedragon's above statment. Techman1019 (talk) 15:20, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

I wonder how much the Darkspawn are going to figure into the game after the prologue, because isn’t the blight over? Maybe we won’t see many Darkspawn after the prologue. 66.58.150.31 (talk) 16:57, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, i do not think they will play that big of a part. Was269 (talk) 17:47, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Well, since Varric is telling the story maybe that's why they look so different. After all he's from Kirkwall right? If he's never seen a darkspawn and is going off second-hand descriptions, plus his story-telling embelishments, that could explain why they look so different. Just a thought. --MorecCousland (talk) 17:34, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Those new hurlocks look like cheapass hobgoblins.I'm fine with the ogre though.--Lesk Amell (talk) 17:52, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Don't one of the achievements mention going into the Deeps Roads? There'll certainly be darkspawn in there, like DAO, and I also agree with Gruedragon; the hurlocks look too different. --Firething11 (talk) 18:48, February 18, 2011 (UTC)
