from what i understand leliana return in dai is confirmed as an n.p.c. ( the head of the inquisition spy division i think ) and many hope that like cullen she will be avelable as a romancable npc but what if she's already taken ( as in a relationship with the warden will that be mentioned in dai ? and in dao we have the option of hardening her or not will that affect her demeanor in dai ? as for alistair is presence in some form is almost confirmed ( because alistair voice actor said on some social network that bioware had hired him for some voice-recording session ) while there are many question left to be answered concerning his status ( wether he's king ( married or not to either anora or the warden ), a grey warden or a drunk ( i will leave out "executed" for obvious reason ) i'm more interested in similar question that i asked for leliana ? ( will an existing relationship with anora or the warden be mentioned and his being hardened or not will affect his demeanor ? )DragonInquisitor (talk) 14:54, May 2, 2014 (UTC)

I suspect that Leliana will not be a romance option, I think I recall a dev (possibly Gaider) mentioning that it would be problematic. But if returning characters can be romanced it will probably depend how they're set in the Keep (assuming you don't go with a default setting). As for Hardening, with Leliana at least I've come to suspect that our Warden's may not have had as large an impact on her as we once thought. I think she may have been a Seeker all along. Not that she was on a mission to spy on the Warden or anything- more likely she was recruited after Leliana's Song and was spending time in Lothering to establish Sister Leliana's credentials in the Chantry as a cover for what would be her later movements.--Liam Sionnach (talk) 15:21, May 2, 2014 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure you can't romance an NPC. Even where this was sometimes an option in Mass Effect, and certain parts of Origins, it didn't really "count." I suppose because, credit to Bioware, they acknowledge the gigantic difference between a fling and a romance. I'm pretty sure, though, if Dragon Age Keep does what it's touted as doing, then all the variables mentioned above will be accounted for in DAI. 15:52, May 2, 2014 (UTC)
