:I suggest we delete Template:ColorNegativeStat and Template:ColorPositiveStat since Hollowness templates ] and does it much better. We redirected the old ones to + and - respectfully until we get the dependancies removed?

Template:ColorNegativeStat and Template:ColorPositiveStat, and do the same thing. What should we do about this? Polexian ♦♦Talk♦♦ ♠♠Leave Message♠♠ 04:39, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

I will ask Tierrie, this when he gets back, and since its a lot of maintenance (very time consuming, which I will probably do, to convince Tierrie) and my templates, neither yours to volunteer, you shouldn't be asking. And I told you this, already, so why do you delete this forum post. Ico DisAppr Heart, this going over peoples heads thing is starting to make me a sad panda :(  Hollowness | Talk | Contr 00:43, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
I don't understand where you are coming from? You have a great template, which is easier to use than Template:ColorNegativeStat and Template:ColorPositiveStat. This is a wiki of the people, people is what makes it great, not a person. If I came up with an idea, and you made it better, I would be proud that I inspired you. I'm not wanting to argue with you about this, so whatever you want to do, you do and I'll stay to myself from now on. Polexian ♦♦Talk♦♦ ♠♠Leave Message♠♠ 04:33, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
It not matter of wanting to argue, you just can't replace a template that is used on very widely on the wiki with out the admins approval. Because when you replace a template you have to go into each and every article and manually adjust which I am willing to do but I want Tierrie's approval first (what is wrong with that). I mean I'll prolly do all the replacing and look at all that will be replaced: Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:ColorPositiveStat, Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:ColorNegativeStat (yes, over 1000 articles will need the template replacement).
I am just saying you don't know about the maintenance done when replacing a currently used template (like ColorPositiveStat/ColorNegativeStat) which is a very widely used template. I was planning on this, anyways and it was my template so I can ask, you just went over my head which was upsetting. I have worked in jobs were going over peoples heads on projects can really get you in trouble and since this is community sharing people try not to touch other peoples creations they may have other plans or the same plans you do and it their choice to present it, to the community or admins. And I still seeing saying you want to use my templates for you own purposes : / (and its kinda creeping me out). So your impatience, has basically disrespected me and it hurts. Pretty much everything I do on the wiki project wise is approved by admins, you just seem to do it and its a little irrational for my taste, I mean good ideas but can't you wait on the admins?  Hollowness | Talk | Contr 05:01, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, we are making the new approval template. Your + and - template is awesome. I just tweaked it to work with other things which is what the admins want, less templates. We will just wait for Tierrie to.... approve.. it. Polexian ♦♦Talk♦♦ ♠♠Leave Message♠♠ 15:06, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
If it gets used it will be just like the color positive and negative, no tweaking will be needed, it will just be easier than having {{+}} than {{ColorPositiveStat}}, because the template is use for both numbers and text. There will be no brackets if it replaces that template, you will have to tweak the Approval tmplate and not the + - templates. I still think you misunderstand here.  Hollowness | Talk | Contr 22:12, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
That works perfectly for me. Now is it possible for {{+|}} do display a good heart and {{-|}} to display a bad heart?Polexian ♦♦Talk♦♦ ♠♠Leave Message♠♠
Ok, we are having two different conversations here. You obviously have completely misunderstand most of what I am talking about, and I have explain things countlessly, I don't even know if I should bother since nothing is getting through and I am very upset about your note you left Tierrie and I think it is best to drop the whole thing, my templates are currently my own till I have discussed things with Tierrie. Do whatever you want to the approval template (just don't touch my approves, disapproves, + and - templates and don't use them because they may change), I have removed my templates from the approval template. I feel very disrespected and violated over this whole thing and it wasn't the suggestions, it was: the going over my head and going behind my back, so please, just stop.  Hollowness | Talk | Contr 02:28, February 16, 2010 (UTC)
Hi guys, I'm sorry I don't seem to be able to get the context of this discussion clear and thus the nature of the problem. The Positive and Negative stat templates were initially and primarily developed for displaying equipment stats in the item infoboxes, so as Hollowness says certainly are not replaced by any new approval templates, though the new approval templates should be used in place of the positive and negative stat templates when it's approval that's being represented. So wherever the positive and negative stat templates have been used to display approval, they should be replaced by the new approval template once it's agreed (if it hasn't been already - I got confused by the forum topic on approval so I'm going to have to go back to it and reread more carefully). However, the positive and negative stat templates will remain to fulfil their initial purpose of displaying stats in item info boxes. I hope that makes the purpose of the templates clear and why we won't be deleting any of them. If I can help resolve any other issues, then please do get in touch with me. And now I've reread this forum and I'm not convinced I've even understood what's here. Sorry if my response above missed the point. If it did, then I'd really appreciate it if someone could give me a bit more context. Sorry for coming into this debate late in the game. Zoev talk 14:48, February 18, 2010 (UTC)
