I sat throught the whole 30 minute credits of da2 and noticed that anders was voiced by a different guy. Am I mistaken and if not WHY change him? The only reason that I can think of is because of Justice. Maybe the real Anders speaks part of the time and Justice speaks the rest. Here's hoping. BTW, Steve Valentine (Alistair) and Jon Curry (Zevran) are listed in the cast credits. --KarlGambolputty (talk) 23:55, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

That's weird. I thought I heard the guy that voiced in Anders in Awakening said on his facebook that he returned for DAII. Matt 2108 (talk) 00:53, February 23, 2011 (UTC)

Easy enough to figure out. Did the character not SOUND like the original Anders from Awakening? And yes, it would make sense, though for Anders to be voiced by two actors, representing his possession by a fade spirit. Any time you listen to demons--and sometimes, abominations, as with Connor--you can hear two voices speaking, one overlaying another.

I'm pretty sure Hawke's mother is voiced by Deborah Moore. She was the voice actress for Teyrna Eleanor Cousland --DeadlySins (talk) 01:02, February 23, 2011 (UTC) DeadlySins

I noticed that too. She spoke one line and figured it out right away.CrowInvictus (talk) 08:10, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

Actually, neither Justice's nor Anders' actor return for DA2, which makes sense, seeing as how Greg Ellis was preparing for a role in Pirates 4, and was filming a series called Gigantic last year, while Adam Leadbeater presumably turned down the offer, or wasn't asked. So, instead we have Adam Howden has taken over the reins for both characters. --Madasamadthing (talk) 02:28, February 23, 2011 (UTC)

While it's a shame Greg Ellis hasn't returned, I'll reserve judgement on Adam Howden until I've heard more than one line of dialogue from him. @DeadlySins, yes, Deborah Moore is the voice of Leandra. Like CrowInvictus said, you only need to listen to one line to figure that out. Eve Myles should do a good job as Merrill, I like her accent. I'm not fond of Nicholas Boulton's voice acting though. While it's much better than he did for Vaughan, like someone said in another topic, he never seems to manage to pull off the sarcastic dialogue option. It's too monotonic. Jo Wyatt has done well though, so I think I'll probably go with a female Hawke for my first playthrough. And of course, who can forget Kate Mulgrew? The Flemeth cutscene was the highlight of the demo for me. I know it's early, but from what little of the interrogation we saw, Brian Bloom has done a stellar job with Varric. And I forget Isabela's new VA, but she's done pretty well as well. So all in all, I'm pretty happy with the VAs. Weak Spot (talk) 09:04, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

Greg Ellis is returning last time I checkes. Though it is unfortunate that it isn't Anders, he is returning. As for Justice's VA I'm pretty sure he's returning as a minor role as well. Mama Hawke is voiced by Deborah Moore. On a different but related note I'm happy with the VA choice for Merill.Kheva Cousland (talk) 09:42, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

He isn't according to IMDb. You were right in saying Adam Leadbetter is returning though, but they've got him down as just "additional voices". Greg Ellis was probably too tied up with Pirates 4 to return like Madasamadthing said. Weak Spot (talk) 13:02, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry for asking, but is Steve Blum mentioned in DA2 credits? --Ja Shadowhunter (talk) 15:27, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

I don't know if he's in the credits in the demo, because I couldn't be bothered to sit through half an hour of them like the OP, but again, according to IMDb he won't be featured. Weak Spot (talk) 14:29, February 24, 2011 (UTC)
Awwww, than means no Oghren time. =( *cry* --Ja Shadowhunter (talk) 15:27, February 24, 2011 (UTC)
