I have followed all instructions set in this link http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Console_%28Dragon_Age_II%29

as the photos below suggest, I cannot yet use the console while in-game. The characters keep moving around.

Any ideas why it is not working. Please help!!

I would change the button to X since that's unused in game and it's pretty easy to find on any keyboard. If that fails, I'd do something with "OpenConsole_1" since that's unassigned and if I remember well that's what you would have to edit. Have you tried any of these? -- 17:36, October 30, 2014 (UTC)

Now I wonder if it's case sensitive or not (as you didn't capitalize the X), maybe you could check that. Judging by the first picture I don't suppose you use Origin or Steam version of the game but just to make sure I'm going to ask: is your game installed through Origin or Steam? -- 18:03, October 30, 2014 (UTC)

My game is installed through Origin. It's been a while since I enabled the console, but I remember going through something similar when I was first setting up the console. My problem was that I kept loading the game through the taskbar shortcut. I unpinned the shortcut, created a new one, and pinned it back to the taskbar. That did the trick. For what it's worth, I use F12 for the console. I don't think it makes a difference, but you never know. --Death by Cheese (talk) 18:19, October 30, 2014 (UTC)

````I just downloaded the game as an ISO file (by reloaded) and installed the game, so that take steam out of the picture.
