:Hell yes! That could be cool. I can think of several ways it could go. Archeologist inspired (Indiana Jones, National Treasure), Super Spies (James Bond, RED etc), the Occult (Ghostbusters!!!), a crime story (Ocean's Eleven, Godfather etc), superheroes (X-Men, Heroes etc). A modern day setting would be a fresh way to do a BioWare RPG. I'm in! [[User:Zambingo|Zambingo]] ([[User talk:Zambingo|talk]]) 16:52, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

CVG is carrying news that Bioware is due to announce a "new franchise" at the Spike VGA awards next month. CVG has a screen shot of modern looking off-road vehicles in a desert setting, which seems to stamp on all those internet rumours that the announcement was going to be DA3. Huh. I checked it out and it seems like it'll be some type of apocalypse type game. (Im hoping it isn't, maybe it'll be some weird racing game?? I dont know.) I hope it's not the former, but I guess we'll just have to see right? They'll be announcing it on Dec. 10, so HOPEFULLY it's good. But if it's anything like Dragon Age and Mass Effect then maybe it will be? Dragon Age 3 will probably be somewhere behind ME3 coming out next year. Probably wont be released next year, but who knows. Don't let us down Bioware. --Tsukahime (talk) 19:51, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

Oh god. --Isolationistmagi (talk) 23:15, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

I would like to see BioWare do a franchise that's set in the modern world. In terms of RPGs (which is what BW specializes in), RPGs set in the present day are rather slim. DAWUSS (talk) 23:32, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

Hate to be the killjoy here, but this isn't really DA related. I'd be delighted to keep it open if people can find a way to steer it into the direction of DA, though otherwise I'll lock it. Chantry symbol King Cousland | Talk   23:38, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

No Problem. DAII was not as popular as origins, and I tend to attribute that to Bioware trying to focus on too many franchises at the same time. Am I the only person thinking that starting a new franchise while DAIII is in developement would probably have a negative affect on the latter? --Isolationistmagi (talk) 23:44, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

It's like The Village. You get out of the tutorial dungeon to find that Ferelden is actually a nature reserve, being invaded by post-apocalyptic zombies. And, like F-Zero, the overarching threat to reality itself can only be defeated with the power of driving really fast. Futonrevoltion (talk) 23:55, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

I would play that game Crimpycracker (talk) 00:37, November 8, 2011 (UTC)
Me, too, sadly enough. But only if Uncle Pey'j is a (non-romanceable) companion. Chili con carrrrnnneeeeee! Futonrevoltion (talk) 17:19, November 13, 2011 (UTC)

You know, I'm tired of all the post-apoc shooters. They all feel really the same as Fallout 3, but much less character customization, so I hope its not like that. Racing games get really boring after a while, and they are also all the same, so I hope its not like that either. And for being Uncharted-esque, I have no idea what to think having never played Uncharted. I have friends who really like it however. Thats all I can think of from seeing that screenshot/concept art (I cant tell which it is) Oh... and uh... if... Oghren... I guess... is not in this game, then... I will have an opinion... something something... Dragon Age 3: Return of the Sith Crusades of Azkaban. Thats enough Dragon age, dont ya think?Crimpycracker (talk) 00:04, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

I'm going to take this as a good sign, and pray that it lets them get all their super fast action flashy fighting(maybe it's a combat racing game?) urges out and we can have a reasonable RPG again. Then I'm going to try and forget that EA is still behind bioware...174.45.9.40 (talk) 01:13, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

I hope they will announce a new Star Wars game for consoles, though I highly doubt that will happen. I don't want to see a post apcalyptic game, as they do not appeal to me whatsoever. As far as racing games are concerned, all I can say is for the love of the Maker, don't do that to us BioWare. All I really only care about at this time is if they confirm that DA:III will in fact be released at some point. Ser Pouce-a-lot (talk) 01:46, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

Starting a new franchises might not have that much of a negative effect on Dragon Age. While The Old Republic will need consonant resources for some time (they opened a new studio for this) and Mass Effect 3 is still being worked on, maintaining a MMO, and developing DLC for both games, while still a lot of work, is not as taxing as building a new game form scratch. What I'm saying is, in less than 5 months the only new titles BioWare will be working on are this new title, and Dragon Age 3. And Bio now has 6 studios world wide, thats, to really over simplify things, 1 stutio to maintain TOR, 1 developing DLC for Mass 3, 1 working on DA3, 1 on this new game, and 2 to get the pizza in.
