I was having serious thoughts about whom should I side with at the end of the game. As most people know, Anders blows up the Chantry (which he is a major d*ck for) and Sebastian demands his death. I like them both equally and I am torn about choosing which side. Is there any way possible around killing Anders or losing Sebastian? I'd like to hear your input

There is no way around it even if you max out friendship or rivalry for both of them. I think this is Bioware's way of telling you that you can't please everyone all the time, like they wanted to show how dangerous the joining ritual is by letting Mhairi being the sacrificial lamb in Dragon Age: Awakening ( Zakary3888 (talk) 01:22, March 24, 2011 (UTC) )

Kill Anders, as Sebstian will rally Starkhaven to f up Kirkwall. Anders is crazy by the end, I mean, he's just killed alot of innocent people. Also note, I generally believe in redemption, and I dislike Sebastian so killing Anders is a BIG deal. Even if I loved his chracter in Awakening he just not the same in DA2..--GrimLost (talk) 01:32, March 24, 2011 (UTC)

Screw Sebastian!! He can bring the whole Starkhaven army to go after Anders, but he forgets that he has to go through my Hawke (Kelcie, Khloe, Sophie, and Delilah) to get him. So he can bring it on all he wants but there is no way in hell that he is getting at Anders. Only over my Hawke's dead body will it ever happen. Im sorry but I really dislike Sebastian. He is way to 'involved' with the chantry or as some would like to call it 'bible thumper'. He seems to much of a goodie goodie and that just rubs me the wrong way. I am definitely with you. Sebastian is crazier than Anders & a lot more dangerous with a lot less reason. Save Anders! Oh, and you may want to check out this thread too -- lots more discussion on the topic. [1] --TropicalFool (talk) 06:25, March 24, 2011 (UTC)

Please note the only reason I sided with Sebastian was to avoid any collatral damage from his army attacking Kirkwall might bring. And or Anders being alive and causing any serious problems. ie to my Hawke--GrimLost (talk) 01:58, March 24, 2011 (UTC)

Bioware tries to make it seem like it's a tough decision, but only a moron would save Anders. Kill a suicidal friend, or have your home invaded during civil unrest? If you're saving Anders, I imagine it's only done for the lulz. Gaikang (talk) 02:48, March 24, 2011 (UTC)

Generally I believe in redemption, but Anders was just flat out crazy by the end. But in killing him, he becomes a martyr. So I killed him without caring about Sebastian.TheMinority (talk) 03:22, March 24, 2011 (UTC)

Him and Justice are one, really, he cant ignore injustice agaisnt mages, and seeks revenge. Justice cant do it, and now that they are one, Anders is gone. I loved Anders in DA Awakening, but the Justice/Anders had to die. -visitor

Hohoho.. Here is my opinion. Contrary to popular belief as I would say (sorry, I couldn't help it LOL!)... How would saving Anders affect the storyline of DA3 if Sebastian's character is just taken from a DLC (I presume?)? Also, after the final events of DA2, all mages in Thedas would be free of the Circles by then (ring any bells?). Maybe he would just realize his wrong decision to support the chantry by leaving Hawke and is willing repent (again) for his sins? Unless he's willing to go out of his way and go to mountains et al. to hunt Anders trololol. Anyways, saving Anders here could mean another comeback (epic chantry nuking) in DA3. Not to mention his character build-up is way too imba (combat-wise and story-wise) because of what happened to him. He met with the hero of ferelden in Awakening, champion of kirkwall in DA2 and Bioware-knows-who in DA3. -b3n3tt3 @ gmail . com

What they both have in common is that their opinion on the conflict is the least of my concern. Anders needs to die either way and he knows it, but if Sebastian is feeling his nuts enough to get in my way I don't hesitate to knock him down as well. And executing a mass murderer never makes a martyr. The only kind of people who would sympathize with Anders are the ones he would be ashamed to become a role model for. @Gaikang -- sorry to disappoint (and possibly disturb) you, but I saved Anders because I think he was flat out right. The grand cleric had had years, very literally years, to turn things around and did not even make and attempt, leaving it all up to the "Maker's will" while daily more and more mages are made Tranquil or driven to blood magic & exterminated -- often by Anders in Hawke's company. There is no indication that this practice ended after Alrik's death & Elthina & Meredith had at best plausible deniability, not innocence, in that little escapade. Revolution was called for and Anders sparked it. I am only amazed that he was able to hold off as long as he did -- I think it shows admirable restraint and hope, although in hindsight blowing up the chantry earlier may have been a better idea. --TropicalFool (talk) 20:33, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

I dislike what Anders has become in DA2 and I certainly don't approve of that little stunt near the end. I split decisions during my playthroughs, but if it came down to a final decision, I'd go with Sebastian. Prismvg (talk) 20:51, April 5, 2011 (UTC)
