Has anyone noticed that there seems to be some serious inconsistencies with age in Thedas? If I recall correctly, all humanoid races are supposed to age at approximately the same pace as humans in OTL. The odd aging in Thedas really struck me last year when playing through the ball at Halamshiral, where you are introduced to the Orlesian Royalty. Celene is pushing 40 and Florianne is pushing 60, yet both appear to be in their mid-late 20s...Gaspard is nearing 70, yet appears to be in his 40s. These are the most obvious, but others that stick out would be Marethari being keeper of her clan from 8:82 Blessed to 9:37 Dragon, over 50 years. This would make sense, as Marethari appears to be well into 70s or 80s, but that would have made her quite young when she became Keeper. What do you think would make these characters appear so much younger than nobility of similar age, such as Teagan, Eamon, or Loghain? Are the Orlesians blessed with extraordinarily long lives (provided they survive the game?) Is it simply oversight? Am I not accustomed to seeing people with apparently rigorous skincare regimes?

You can't notice wrinkles of Gaspard, Florianne and Celene if high graphics are off. Besides, they are wearing makeup, I suppose.
Marethari became keeper of Sabrae clan after keeper Mahariel was murdered some times after 9:00 Dragon. Mahariel's predressor died in 8:82 Blessed when Sabrae was attacked by avvars. Besides, Marethari and her lover Sarel married in 8:82 Blessed that means she was in her early 20s or younger (she doesn't look 70 years old in DA2, I know).TatoDragon (talk) 19:03, December 4, 2015 (UTC)
