Fisher is an agent for the Inquisition in 9:41 Dragon.
Background[]
This section is incomplete and requires expansion. |
Fisher reports directly to Leliana as covert agent for the Inquisition.
Involvement[]
Chasing shadows[]
Vicomtesse Elodie de Morreau informs Vivienne of some shocking allegations being spread about the Inquisition. The rumors perpetuate that Divine Justinia is still alive and that the Inquisition orchestrated the horrific events surrounding the Conclave. The claim is that Seeker Pentaghast and Sister Nightingale sabotaged the Conclave in order to eliminate the opposition within the Chantry, and cut off the heads of the rebel mages and templars in a single stroke.
After chasing "hundreds of shadows" Leliana sends agent Fisher to Lake Celestine; nobility in the region have been gossiping that "it’s lovely this time of year in regards to looking into the allegations."[1]
Fisher reports that Marquise Courtemance has been "spending money like water in The Heartlands," a region located between Lake Celestine and the shores of the Waking Sea.[2] He deduces that the Marquise met with dozens of nobles throughout the week, and that bribes in the form of "gifts" changed multiple hands—most of them being busts of Justinia V. Fisher successfully manages to put an end to the operation after unraveling that the threat to the Inquisition was genuine as the Marquise had been smuggling red lyrium across Orlais.
We appropriated one the busts and discovered it hollow and stuffed with red lyrium. An "accident" occurred while unloading one of the busts, revealing the contents within. Faces in the nearby windows were genuinely shocked, two weeks from now, all of Orlais will know.

The Still Ruins[]
Fisher uncovers that there are still Venatori and Tevinter artifacts to be found in the ancient laboratory in the wake of the Inquisitor's attack, and recommends sending an expedition to prevent the desert from burying them. Sister Rosalie notifies the Inquisition that the Chantry expedition into the laboratory proves a complete success.[4]
The Hasmal Circle[]
Commander Cullen,
I understand the Inquisition is working with Redcliffe’s mages. I’m surprised someone from Kirkwall would condone any arrangement with them—but it does put you in a position to aid us.
Hasmal’s Circle sustained significant damage during the uprising. Rather than follow the Lord Seeker, many of our Templars elected to remain and deal with the aftermath, but our resources are limited. Furthermore, we have loyalist mages with us. Hasmal’s people would happily throw them to the wolves even though they had nothing to do with the rebellion. As it stands, I fear we may fail in our duty to protect them. I trust you sympathize with our predicament. I humbly request our charges be transferred to the Inquisition.
Knight-Commander Brycen
The mages should arrive within the day. Senior Enchanter Lynden sends his sincerest thanks for seeing them safely out of Hasmal.

Hasmal Templars[]
Not all templars followed the Lord Seeker. Although they split from the Chantry, most of Hasmal's templars chose to stay at their Circle, feeling it was their responsibility to deal with the aftermath of local mage uprisings and protect their remaining charges.
We've sent word of the events at Therinfal Redoubt, but loyalty to their vows compelled the templars to stay. They are not eager to join those who dissolved the Order. These men and women represent the largest group of unaligned templars left–we could use them on our side.
The Inquisition has become more appealing to Hasmal's templars–it will be far easier for them to continue their work with us.

Vicomte Tremane Pontival[]
Cullen receives a missive from Vicomte Tremane Pontival in regards to events that unfolded at Therinfal Redoubt. The vicomte discloses that his brother, Leontine Pontival, lost his life aiding the Inquisition and blames the military commander.
"I call upon you, as a man of supposed honor, to answer for his death in a duel to be fought in Val Royeaux at dawn in one week’s time."
The vicomte was close to his brother, but the younger Pontival incurred a lot of debts. Vicomte probably thought a public challenge would make his brother’s lenders back off. We had a word with the most vocal ones. Discreetly, of course. The vicomte will probably leave Cullen alone now.
