Figor is a member of the Merchant caste and runs a shop in the Commons in Orzammar.

This shop will be locked to the public until mid-way through either Bhelen's or Harrowmont's quests. When you pass the shop at this time, you see Figor outside, surrounded by Carta members and being harassed by them. This encounter takes place after you have obtained the Entering Jarvia's Hideout quest.

The Warden, upon first entering Figor's Imports (before dealing with Jarvia), may persuade or intimidate several Carta members (led by Roggar) to leave Figor alone (in this instance, Coercion is not even necessary for the Dwarf Commoner Warden). This solution will earn the merchant's gratitude and "discount" access to his inventory. Alternatively, the thugs may be attacked and killed, but this upsets Figor, causing him to permanently flee for fear of retaliation. Figor will not return, leaving his shop inaccessible for the rest of the game. If the party defeats Jarvia before ever entering Figor's store, there will be no thug encounter and he will trade normally.

Access to Figor's merchandise has three advantages, though all are relatively minor. First, he is the only shopkeeper without a mark-up, making his prices the lowest anywhere (although the selection is not extensive - but neither is the selection of potentially-free items from Redcliffe's tavern). Secondly, he stocks an unlimited supply of flasks. Thirdly, his starting inventory includes everything required for the Exotic Methods quest.
