Fairbanks (born 25 Haring 9:8) is the leader of a group of Orlesian refugees who have lost their homes to the War of the Lions.

Background

Fairbanks was born to Bernice Lemarque a young noblewoman who had been disowned by her father after she became pregnant out of wedlock. She had found a midwife residing at Fair Banks Cottage in the Dales to deliver her son Evariste. Evariste never identified with his noble heritage and eventually took on the name Fairbanks after the house he was born in.

During the Orlesian Civil War many refugees relocated to the Dales. The Freemen of the Dales, a group of military deserters turned seperatists also took up residents in the Dales. The Freemen began to prey on the refugees, and Fairbanks who was sympathetic to their plight, decided to help them protect themselves from the Freeman. Eventually Fairbanks became the de facto leader of the refugees, and they increasingly relied on his guidance to survive.
